  • THE DUNES

I requested $1800 from THE DUNES to close my account on October 15. On October 29, I was told that I had not received my money because Samantha wanted to know why I was closing my account. I have called many times since then trying to speak with Samantha, but she was either sick or would be in the office in a few hours. Twice I was told that she would call me at home when she got it the office. Of course there was no call. When I asked why Samantha did not call me? I was told she was sick, and I was given her e-mail address [email protected]. I sent her three e-mail’s still no response. I then wrote to this forum asking for her to call me, but still no response.

On Monday, December 3, I wrote to Samantha, and asked that I be send only $1199. Stating that they could keep the $601 that I won during the year. My only threat was that if I wasn’t sent $1199 by Wednesday, December 12, that I would post this message to any forum that would listen.

If they decided to be a honest business and send me my $1199, the first thing I will do is post back to this forum and clear THE DUNES name.

    thank you,
    excel

I didn't know the Dunes was still around? Have you been playing there all along for the last year?

      THE WHOLE STORY

On Jan. 1, 2001 THE DUNES owed me $12543. Somewhere around mid Jan., I heard, from the don best office, that THE DUNES were in some kind of management problem. My thought was to wait until after the super bowl, which I already had some prop bets with THE DUNES, and then withdrawal all my money. I lost $910 between Jan. 1 and the super bowl. That Monday I called THE DUNES and requested a payout of $11633. They stated that I should have it by the end of the week.

After no pay, many phone calls and tons of LIES, someone at THE DUNES stated that there was no way I would get $11633, and that I should ask for something smaller. I then asked for $3000. After many more phone calls and many more LIES I received $3000 on march 5 via 2 day air. On march 7, I requested another payout of $4000. Again after no pay, many phone calls and numerous LIES I received a check on April 5 via 2 day air for $4000.

My balance now down to $4633. I started feeling a little better about THE DUNES, and made a few wagers – lucky me I won $325. At the end of May I requested I payout of $2458. Again after much frustration I received a check on June 13 via 2 day air for $2458.

Balance is now down to $2500, and it looks like I may get paid everything (just a little slow.) I make a few more wagers at THE DUNES, and get lucky and win a $886. In mid-August I requested another $1886, and I received the check on September 3.

After winning $300 dollars I made a request to close my account (now $1800) on October 15. On October 29, I was told that I had not received my money because Samantha wanted to know why I was closing my account. I have called many times since then trying to speak with Samantha, but she was either sick or would be in the office in a few hours. if true the Dunes belongs in the clink ----- anytime a sportsbook asks why you want your money
that's the sign of a major problem ----about a week a ago i requested a large sum from a bworld book and i was transfered first to some guy who put me on hold to look at my account the came back and "congradulated me for my recent sucess"
stating it was also good to see winners sometimes"
then I was tranfered to someone to do the payout
from customer service------the check came one day later and the book really didn't do anything tangably wrong but they did make me feel uncomfortable ( maybe they were checking into my bonus requirements) but it seemed to me a supervisor was "reviewing my action" while my book didn't do what the dunes is accused of they ask why you want your money come up with some bullshit like a family member dying so you have to stop playing until hopefully they come up with cash and once it clears spread the word --------
why do you want to close your account is a question that would gaurantee that they would
never be reopened or recomended by me ---of course the answer i'd want to give if they weren't
holding my money is it's none of your bleeping business how and when i want to spend my money

Couldn't agree more. No book has the right to ask you WHY you want your money. Classic stall. Any book that does this in any way should be reported on so we can all avoid them.

I doubt that's the case. (egg nog). This football season hasn't been all that bad for the books best I can tell. Plus hoops is gaining popularity. I don't think the old rule of pull out after the Super Bowl applies. Maybe pull out after or just before the end of March Madness.
