  • Why do you have to supply bank account for neteller and paypal?

What is the reasoning to supply Neteller and Paypal with bank account #'s? Is it safe to do this?
Does this entitle me to use my visa card to make deposits? or do I have to use my bank account?

    Which service is better?

    Thanks

I've found neteller to be better. More widely accepted.

Not sure what the reason is for having to link it to your bank account. Sounds like a legal issue.

Safe? That's a tough question. I'd advise using a bank account set up specifically for this purpose. In otherwords, don't hook it up to a bank account with your life savings in it.

I have no idea why, but I refuse to do so. They will give you some spin about how it is for your protection, but that is all nonsense.

I want to send $ somewhere; I charge $500 to my card via NETeller or PayPal and send it along to SportsBook X.

In my mind, the transaction is complete.

Do you give your banking information to anyone else that you conduct a credit card transaction with? NO!

Suppose they asked for that info at KMART, the grocery store or the gas station? You'd tell them to get lost. Which is what I would do to anyone (including PayPal and NETeller).

Maybe they will come in here and give us there reasons, but I doubt they will be compelling.

This is exactly why I've gone to Caribsports and used PrePaidATM for both deposits and withdrawals. There is no link to any bank accounts. They issue you an ATM card accepted at most worldwide ATM machines to withdraw funds. You can send funds via a credit card or Western Union QUICK COLLECT, which is a lot cheaper than sending Western Union green form that most offshore books make you use. Curious if any other outs offer PrePaidATM as an option? Website for PrePaidATM is www.prepaidatm.com

This is even worse than PayPal or NETeller (and that ain't easy).

You mean to tell me they want my Social Security Number and that my personal information must be verified by TransUnion ?

Yep - without those two items, you can not get a pre-paid ATM card.

Would you give that info to the clerk at the store when buying a pre-paid phone card? Can someone tell me the difference?

Right - there is none. I convert my cash into a different media (phone minutes, ATM value) and they want to know enough about me to steal my identity? Fat chance.

Yo - walleyek! What - you're kidding right?!

No links to any bank accounts? How do you figure that? They have your SSN, which is the KEY to your bank accounts, among other things.

If I Pre-Pay a card, they have no need for ANY INFORMATION at all.

How in the hell can they justify this?

What we need is anonymous cash; of course that is surely illegal in the good old USA, so you have to go offshore.

Then of course you would be painted as a money launderer (and terrorist financier) and wind up a fugitive from US justice.

The crooked bastards don't want anyone moving money without their being able to track it. That way they can knock the hell out of you if you happen to win 10 large and don't report it to the IRS.

Try an offshore debit card, better but not foolproof.

Sorry, didn't realize they required a SSN. Can you tell me more about how to obtain an offshore debit card? Thanks.

So walleyek, is it your testimony that you HAVE used the PrePaidATM?

And you would like us to believe you forgot about giving them your SSN?

Seems my anal smoke detector is sounding the alarm because you are blowing smoke up my a$$.
