Hi everyone. I'm new here but I was told some of you guys or maybe one of the site monitors can help me. I tried to withdraw my balance with www.allstarsportsbook.com after the superbowl. Since then, I have not received payment. I was quoted in a notification email that my fund was to arrived about a week ago. I emailed several times and got not explanation for the delay. Their responses were either wait 24-48 hours for fund to arrive or email was forwarded to proper department.

I paid them via Paypal and hence my fund should be sent back via Paypal. The fund shouldnt have taken this long to get back to me. I think I've been scammed by www.allstarsportsbook.com.

Has anyone had similar problems with www.allstarsportsbook.com? Can I do anything to recover my money (ie notify my the credit card that I used in my Paypal payment. I notified Paypal already but I dont think they are going to do anything because it's past that 30 day policy they have). Thanks, Joe

Go read my long-winded post entitled Why is Paypal so complicated.....and then answer the following questions.
When did you send them the $ ?
Where did the funds in your paypal acct. come from?
Depending on your above answers, you might be able to recover your money............unlike a lot of us here on this very sad day. I'd be willing to provide a little guidance if you wish.

Hey chestrockwells, I read your stuff and I've read about the issues that Paypal have (there was also something about patent infringement) in the newspaper. However, I still dont understand why I did not get my money back from my sportsbook.
I dont think my problem is with Paypal. Rather, it's with my sportsbook.

I sent the payment via Paypal using a VISA credit card to fund it on January 5th, 2002. I notified Paypal about my problem with my sportsbook not sending my payment but they are not answering. I dont expect paypal to do anything about it though becuase Paypal states somewhere in their website that they do not get involved in payments made over 30 days old.

I'm currently thinking about notifying my credit card because I'm a real good card holder (big spender--not big gambler though) and I expect them to take some actions on the matter. What do you suggest?

Well let me say that I don't recognize your sportsbook, but this doesn't sound that complicated. The first thing you need to do is determine if they sent the funds or not. If they did, there's always a paper trail, be it tracking #s or control numbers etc. If they've been giving you the total run around then you might be right.

As for paypal getting or not getting involved, you're correct. The 30 day limit is paypals policy BUT, because you used a credit card to fund your paypal transaction you can still file a claim through your credit card which will supercede the 30 day paypal rule. You should probably contact your credit card to see what the time limit is on filing. I never used credit cards with Paypal so I'm not sure what it is.

But of course all this could be just a mixup. If the book says that they credited your paypal acct. and yet you don't see it in your acct.,and Paypal says they didn't, ask them to send you the confirmation email from Paypal. Also it is possible that they did send it through Paypal, have a confirmation and still you can't find it. IF your email address has one or more (numeral one) in it....... or smallcap letter L. Sometimes the fonts cause a mixup. Also since you emailed your book the withdrawal instructions, you probably included your paypal acct.info right? Go back and make sure that your instructions were NOT like this:
Pls. credit my paypal acct. [email protected].
Cause the book will, give it a quick look, do a cut and paste and the money will go into a cyber black hole. The above scenarios have happenned to me on more than a few occasions.

Sorry, it's because the sender will actually be able to complete the transaction and yet the receiver will never receive it due to the . at the end of the email address sentence.
