  • Camelot in trouble

I guess we can add Camelot to the list of books in trouble. I'm sure they won't be the last.

While it's no secret we were never big Camelot fans, we don't wish this type of a situation on any book.

It only hurts the industry across the board, coming so soon after the Aces fiasco.

How many other books are dipping into the players post up funds??

Camelots owner, (or previos owner?) Mark D has said that Camelot has secured new financial backing and that players will be paid.

    Questions i have for Camelot

    1) the rx reports that del is a nice guy but has no business smarts.
i see he will still be at the head of the operation.
    question:
    What sense does this make?

    2) Did MW NOT know this was about to happen and if they did why did they choose not to notify the same people they "trained" like dogs to adore camelot?

    3) where are all the kiss ass players at mw that would rip at the sightest negative comment about dunce del?

        Jeff,

I know we have not seen eye to eye for a variety of reasons, but I want to say that I appreciate the professional manner in which you handled this situation, and the fact that you did not elect to make any statements designed for your own personal gain.

You have handled this very well, without sensationalism and for that I thank you.

I would also like to take the time to nofify you and anyone else here that Camelot has found a financial backer to take over the situation. I will remain on as the marketing director, but there will be brand new ownership and a new direction in bookmaking as well.

Anyone who would like to speak to me about this transaction can do so at 1-888-668-9886

Is this really Mark? If so, thank you for posting an update here on the forum.

It certainly wouldn't do the industry any good for us or anyone else to play Monday morning quarterback.

The situation is what it is and everyone has to deal with it from here forward as opposed to bringing up the past.

Hopefully everything works out because the industry in general could really use the boost.

Yes why did the major keep his Big Mouth shut!!! and then del last week saying he will not post at Mw anymore!! Ill tell you man.. i got $850 in there and you know damm well there is a good chance ill never get it!! Jeff, and brian, you were right about this guy, and i have no idea why i even had a account there.. This is a big biger blow then acegold because the so called watchdog sites knew about this and said zero..Stick with the well know old books if you still want a offshore sportsbook like carib.

                Jeff,

Yes that was really me. I had to post this way because I do not have a user name anymore.

I meant what I said about the way you have handled this and would like the opportunity to speak to you. I do not have a phone number on you, so could you call me at 1-888-668-9886.

                Thank You
