  • The Mutual Understanding....is it breaking?

The one thing that was based on a mutual understanding has now been affected by thieves, telemarketers, and con-artist.

The sportsbetting industry from as long as I remember has been based on a mutual understanding that once you make a wager both parties must live up to it.
    The bettor-bookmaker relation was uncorruptable.

Before Bookmakers had to worry about getting stiffed from players now Players have to be worry about being stiffed by Bookmakers.

This was one industry that was regulated by a mutual understanding bettween the bettor-bookmaker, now thieves are crawling through it. They are ruing the one respectful thing of the Industry.

So i'm asking, (for the the love of sports-wagering); for The Watchdog Sites like Bettorsworld, Majorwager, and The Prescription to get on top of things and start being Watchdogs. Keep on eye on conspicuous posters that post bias messages.

Players have always had to worry about getting stiffed by Bookmakers.

For as long as betting on sports has been around, people on BOTH sides of the counter have had to deal with stiffs.

As far as conspicuous posters, posters with agendas, shills and the like.......there is no getting around it.

"Watchdogs" perhaps should be much quicker with the trigger now as far as taking books down when rumors surface but it's certainly not an exact science and never will be.

Players need to start posting more. They need to post about payouts for example.

While asking about who has the best bonuses and who's dealing a dime line or all relevant, There should probably be more posts along the lines of "I asked for a payout via fedex/cashiers check on 3/23 from xyz sportsbook"

Then coming back in on 3/25 with "payment received".

Then a payment history could be documented. If down the road, the same book takes 7 days for the same transaction, then maybe we have a problem.

It's all about information. The more of it, the better off we'll all be. But it takes everyones cooperation!!
