  • Alladin News....

Has there been any news about allandinsgold.

Is everyone still waiting till the 15th of may to find out if eddy is going to pay sterling.

Has anyone played with sterling yet. if so, how are they.

Is anyone taking any legal action against eddy. if so, would anyone be interested in taking a joint legal action.

Is the antigua gaming directorate really doing something or is he full of shit too.

No news. Whereas once Eddie had made it a point to keep this site up to date on the the situation, he hasn't contacted us for a few weeks now.

As for Sterling, they shouldn't get a bad rap......they ave been around several years and have always paid their clients. While they may not have the flashiest website with 800 clerks answering phones, they do pay and they don't give the house away with bonuses.

As for the Directorate, when you think about it, what would he/they actually be doing if they WERE doing something?

Unless the other books that operate there chipped in and "loaned" money to the gov't so they could make good on this, and made it look like the govt paid the people, then nothing will happen.

I spoke with Sterling yesterday. They said they would post on the forums when they know anything for certain, but they have had no recent contact with Eddie or his lawyers and it appears doubtful that Eddie will make his needed payment and thus it is doubtful there will ever be any Sterling/Alladin deal. They did say they'd heard a possibility of a class action suit against Eddie and perhaps the Antigua Director would have more details.

I'm really confused about Eddie. Seemed like a stand-up guy, really believed in himself; was willing to take time with a single customer to address concerns. Even when things seemed to be tanking, he gave me his personal cell-phone number and encouraged me to call if I needed anything. He assured me that there was no question that he would be paying all his accounts.

Then a couple of weeks later I leave messages on that personal cell phone and can't get an answer or even a reply. Total switch. The thing is, he must have really believed very late that he was going to make good on the debts - or else he wouldn't have given out the contact info.

I'd have to say I'm very disappointed in Eddie as well.

The problems he got into are one thing. Obviously not good.

But he was keeping us abreast of the situation on a regular basis which is all we can ask when trying to pass along updates to the players.

But the updates have seemed to stop.

I was told by one of the players he spoke to recently that the sterling deal would cause him to be liable twice for the funds owed. If he paid sterling money as part of that deal, the players would still have a potential case against him in a class action suit, making him essentially double liable.

              That's what I hear......

Where would a class action suit be filed and who is going to come forward and publicly state their wagers and their supposed balance? What records are left to allow an independent party to verify these balances?

It's unfortunate that Eddie hasn't come through, but when everything is sliding down the drain, and the light at the end of the tunnel is quickly closing, there isn't much you can do. Notification only causes mass panic and more stress on those who (if they have any conscience at all) would love to reverse the situation if they could.

Nothing Eddie could say to any player at this point, or even if he had been in touch could make up for the loss. He'd just be harassed.

Not that the actions of losing all the post-up money should be condoned. Quite the contrary It would be good to know the entire story and the circumstances surrounding the demise.
