Intertops ....acct Cancelled Nj

Check this scenerio I have been with Intertops for well over 5 years and I went to sign on my account and was denied. I called up and they said because of legal issues all NJ members have been cancelled. Here is the kicker I am nervous about I have a future wager for the NJ NETS to win the East at 40/1? They said they would honor all future pending wagers can this sittuation turn ugly? Where is my account? Im assuming they have a back-up? I sure hope a INTERTOPS spokesperson would respond to such a serious topic?

I'm surprised they would back off because of a simple lawsuit, which is what this is.

I hear intertops recently had a shake up in it's ownership as well. Maybe that is effecting their decision making?

Since Intertops was originally Austrian owned and has been around since the beginning, they may be doing what a lot of the Internationally owned books are doing and being cautious about who they allow to play. It could just be a temporary precaution to ensure that they don't get unwanted scrutiny and appear to be doing their part to "conform".

Problems @ Intertops with NJ accounts

I am from NJ, and have had no problems at Intertops.

How can they selectively boot New Jersey players? Are they only botting New Jersey WINNERS??

All residents that live in New Jersey may not have put New Jersey on their accounts as their state of residence. This could account for some NJ residents being tossed and some not. Or maybe only active NJ residents were notifed. Intertops could post a message on their site about this if it is indeed true.

Well I called intertops they said it will be processed Tuesday......................I was once ripped off by a group called World Wide Sportbook I think Jeff remembers that fiasco.Its a shame even thou withj intertops I really enjoyed the book............Still wondering if its over the jersey thing........I guess Ill keep ya posted. Once again I never ever had a problem with intertops. Take care peoples

Intertops has a great track record. I never had problems with them, the worst thing that ever happened to me was it took two weeks to get a credit back to my credit card. In the face of what's going on with other people, that's nothing.

If you don't mind providing details, how did you ask for your payout? Bank Wire, Check, etc.? Just wondering why it will be Tuesday and not Monday. Not there's any need for concern, just curious.

Well Id like to inform everyone.....payment was recieved gee wiz it only took a day....via private mail.........Well intertops has proved again its a great book! And Im pleased.

But again I am still wondering why I have been cancelled???? Any other members from NEW JERSEY who have gotten booted or am I still the only one?????Again Intertops said I was cancelled cause my NJ residents.

The legal reasons deal with action taken against Intertops and a few other places, due to advertising they were doing in New Jersey, particularly Bill Boards I believe.

At any rate, I'm kind of surprised they (Intertops) backed off the way they did. The action taken wasn't a criminal one. More like a lawsuit.

It seems like the NJ Gaming Commision targeted Intertops and a few others at random. The books were charged with operating in NJ without a gaming license. Sportingbet was also charged.

I'm pretty sure they went after those specific books because they advertised in Jersey and basically ruffled the feathers of the commission. I don't think they picked them at random, though I could be wrong.......
