    If I wanted to purchase an existing sportsbook what should I do,

    - go there in person and shop around;
    - are there classifieds section in newspapers for sportbooks for sale;
    - Is there someone to contact;
    - where should I go, antigua, costa rica, curacao, magarita, etc.

    You will definitely have to make some trips, you can buy merchandise or make an investment without throughly doing the research (seeing the facilities, talking to the current mangager and employees, asking why they want to sell, seeing financial numbers, etc.)

    In addition, talk to reputable forum leaders about what might be out there and if this is or isn't a good time to jump in. Also your budget would have to be considered.

    Talk to existing books you trust and play with. Their managers may know of some deals available as well. But be sure to double or triple check anything you are told by one person in the industry. Self-interest seems to be predominant around here.

      As mentioned above, ask what their handle was then ask what they held. Ask how many customers and naturally ask why they are selling.

      You won't find too many joints for sale that are profitiable. Don't buy the bullshit line of, "I just want to get out of the business". They don't want out if they are making money.

      You'll obviously have to go there in person. You'll want to see the operation in action.

      Just post an email address expressing an interest in buying a book. You'll get reples.
