    No ones been paid......

    Charlies whereabouts still unknown....

    Gaming association? Nope.

Once again, there are some good books out there well deserving of our business, having earned it over the years. It's unfortunate Aces has left a sour taste in everyones mouth and has hurt the good guys/books.

But so far in this industry, there has never been a regulatory body that has come to the aid of stiffed players in any jurisdiction.

    Don't expect it anytime soon.

Sure Austrailia and the UK seem to have things in order, but let's hope the system doesn't have to be put to the test, because I am still skeptical.

The problem with the Aces/Sports-Market situation is this: if players take care in WHERE they invest, with WHOM they invest, what is their REPUTATION and RECORD for payment, follow the RECOMMENDATIONS of good watchdog sites, and STIIIIIIILLLLL get screwed . . .

then what's the use? How can any offshore sportsbook be trusted?

I don't think it's fair to say you can't trust any offshore sportsbook because an Aces or an Alladins turned out to be a stiff.

If someones girfriend turned out to be a lying cheating whore, should they blame all women?

        Bad example? Maybe.

If you got bad food at an Italian Restaraunt would all Italian food be bad?

Sure, there's different levels of bitterness here depending on individual circumstances but I could never BLAME, point fingers, accuse or not TRUST an honest upstanding shop that has done everything right as a result of someone else doing everything wrong.

Bet-cha Charlie is back in Texas. I know of 2 sport books who tried to buy Charlie out and save Sports Market, but Charlie turned them both down. Why????? I don't have a clue. It would have been great for the post-up players because they would have got paid.
