  • Don't even mention these books in the same breath...

    From another website:
06.09.02 (12:12 PM EST) - Carib and Internet1x2.com vow not
to allow scams to operate out of Belize. Also confirm fiber optics have been fantastic for them.

Carib is a standout book and has been a bworld book from day one.
to my knowledge the other book should worry about themselves instead of being a cop for books in belize.

carib should keep a very wary eye on 1x2 if they are truly doing what this statement claims.

brian, that was an interesting story on the main page about yahoops not being licensed and bonded in belize as they claim

the story seems credible but without knowing who wrote it, we can't be sure

who wrote that story? if the person doesn't want to be named, for fear of repercussions or whatever, fine, don't name the author specifically, just tell us who/what he/she is...did a lawyer write it? a former employee of the place? a congressman? who???
because without a name, it could be some angry competitor who dropped the story over your transom

The story was compiled by bworld staff.

One need only make a few simple phone calls to verify certain facts.

Unfortunately 99.9% of the players/people out there never make those phone calls and blindly send their funds.

jeff, what about wwts, one of your advertisers? wwts still states in its advertising that its accounts are 'insured by lloyds of london'...but lloyds insures no betting accounts for internet gambling...this is also the kind of thing 99% of people don't check, so wwts continues to get away with this lie...jeff, what is your view on this dishonest practice? it is ok to lie? if so, why? if not, why are they allowed to continue advertising on this site? they are the only book pulling a scam that advertises here as far as i can see...you at bw are very vigilant in booting the scam books off so why does wwts get a free pass? i'm not trying to bust wwts balls it's just that they practice a major deception and bw says nothing

I've never hidden my opinions about the licensing and other claims that most all offshore books make.

We already know that the carribean locations simply take money from books and allow them to operate there. It's a one way street with no thought about the player.

I'm not sold on Austrailia or the UK either, simply because we've never had to see the system in action. We have no proof.

            As far as wwts.....

We have a story coming out pertianing to Lloyds a little later today.

If in fact they were not insured by Lloyds in any way shape or form then I agree, there's no reason for them to use that.

It all comes down to today being no different than the pre-offshore days. You played with a local guy because your buddy, or others, told you they played there for years and always got paid.

In that respect, wwts is on top.One of the longest track records of prompt payoyts in the industry.

Yahoops, less than a year in business and already reports of no pay or slow pay.

I suppose you could say alot of books are given a pass because they do the right thing......they pay their players.

It's when the bad reports trickle in that these things start to get more attention.

You can slice it any way you like, but claiming to have all player accounts insured on the web site is an out and out lie.

Worse yet is the fact that they refuse to answer questions regarding the insurance claim.

Email them witha question about sending money and you get a response within the hour.

Email them a question about the insurance and you never get an answer.

WWTS is considered a top book by many, but making clearly false claims and letting that claim stand after they have been called on it, is just plain stupid.

I wouldn't post up there because they are intentionally misleading people with a claim they know is bullshit.

Is this the business practice of a top book? Not on your life.
              As Always - Good Luck,

              Sonny

WWTS could claim to have pink elephants as clerks.......I'd still play there. I know I'll get paid.

Longevity and reputation are just about all a book can trade on these days. WWTS is by far one of the best out there.

Actually, a couple of years ago I pressed WWTS on this same issue and they did in fact respond and did list a contact name and phone number to verify the Lloyds of ondon thing. At the time, the bottom line was that WWTS was in fact insured through a company that was a re-insurer for Lloyds. So take that for whatever its worth.

Chest--Thank you for clearing this up and confirming the report on the Breaking News page. People have been tossing this around for a very long time, but no one had ever really tried to get to the bottom of it. WWTS is a stand-up place, and everyone has a lot of faith in them, your post only makes everything look better.
