After trying unsuccessfully to get a payout through NETeller, it has now been over a week since Wagerstreet promised my payout via PayPal. Is is the sportsbook or Paypal that are to blame? Does that method really take that long?

As long as their account has money in it the funds can transfer instantly--they can send you funds or you can put in a request and they just have to hit accept and the transfer is complete.

        Sportshobby,

Wagerstreet contacted me to tell me they didn't have a legit email address for you on file in order to process your payout.

Please call them or email [email protected]

Jeff - thanks, it does turn out that the e-mail address I provided when I signed up some time back is out of date. I did send the new one in response to an e-mail question about the payout request, but I can see how the confusion occurred.

          Best wishes,

          SH

Well, keep us posted. If they have a policy that it takes a week then they could just come out and say that.

I saw the subsequent post from Jeff about the incorrect email address, but I wanted to give some info on both PayPal and NETeller for general information.

Assuming that everything on your PayPal account and sportsbook account is accurate (eg: same email address) there's no way in hell it should ever take a week to get a payment. Once the book makes the payment via PayPal it is instantaneous. There have been times where I've requested a payout from Carib, went out to my car to go somewhere, checked my PayPal account with my cellphone and the payment had already been made. Carib, obviously, is not one of the books I'd worry about paying me but that should serve to demonstrate how quick the process is once the book initiates it.

Now, the book may have a delay in processing withdrawals via PayPal or NETeller due to a high volume of payouts to process or other procedures. Intertops, for example, says that PayPal withdrawals take 48 hours or so. This is due to their own internal workflow procedures, but damned if their payouts don't come within 24 to 48 hours like clockwork. Sometimes if Carib is busy (like on Thursday's after they rebate their customers) it'll take a few hours for a payout. If the book tells you up front about the time frame of a potential delay--and most of the good ones do--that's different.

Bottom line: if a book is taking more than 24 to 48 hours to pay via PayPal or NETeller, I'd be concerned. Once they inititate the transfer on their end it's credited to your account immediately. This assumes, of course, that your payment information/email address is correct. If a payout is taking more time then you think it should I'd suggest you do the following:

              1) Check your PayPal/NETeller account and make sure that your email is valid, and that the book has the same address or account number. Make sure that you've followed the book's policy for payouts--for example, Intertops lets you specify which PayPal account you want payment sent to; Carib requires that the email address on your sportsbook account be the same as your PayPal payment address.

              2) If that all checks out, contact the book but be civil about it at first. Things can fall through the cracks, people can overlook things or whatever. If it's an honest mistake any decent book will deal with it promptly. You'll get a lot better response from anyone if you're cool about it at first. If they *are* trying to stiff you, you'll know soon enough and then you can raise holy hell.

              3) If you don't get any response after #1 and #2, THEN you can start worrying about it. I'd start here at Bettorsworld and if that doesn't get a response contact the PayPal security department. They won't give you attitude about it being a gambling payout--they just want to make sure that no one is trying to scam people using their payment system. My guess is that NETeller has a similar department, though I know from experience that PayPal's is pretty responsive to situations like this.

Once I registered my correct e-mail address, the payout was received within a few hours. Since this was the first time I'd ever received a sportsbook payout via PayPal, I didn't know what timeline to expect. But I am pleased with the result.
