  • The List - I sincerely hope......

Those who visit this site take it as seriously as I do......

The list was set up to accomplish it's goal in what I believe is the best manner possible for all involved with this industry.

Those who check the list each day for updates will have noticed a major book missing last week.

    This was done without fanfare.

This was done with the players best interest in mind. It was also done with the industries and the books best interest in mind.

Those who faithfully check the list got a head start on what was sure to follow.......and did.

Now those seeking publicity for "breaking a story" are in their glory tooting their horns.

Books get into tight situations that can have solutions.

But once the run on the bank starts, those solutions go out the window.

    It's unfortunate.

Be sure to check the list frequently.

Those that do are the first to know.......

Can't argue with any of the books you list. I don't particularly like some of the books you list and don't think some of them are anywhere close to as good as some of the others listed, but I can't argue with them being listed. Maybe you should consider putting them into "classes". Maybe an "Elite", "Upper Class", "Rock Solid", etc... Just an idea so that some of the truly best books get acknowledged for it, while some of the others have incentive to improve their product before they get mentioned in the same class as others.

I think the main criteria is getting paid. After that customer service, bonuses and what have you would come into play.

stardust, I agree. However, I do feel there is much more than that for a book to be considered a "top" bok. Minor league baseball is played no differently than major league baseball. The big difference is talent level. That's why minor league tickets go for considerably less than major league tickets. The same thing with sportsbooks. A sportsbook shouldn't get applauded because they pay. That's their job. They shouldn't have a book if they don't pay. It has gotten to the point where we are actually congratulating books just because they pay. They don't deserve to be applauded for that. The "top" books should be applauded for having fast grading, easy and fast deposit/withdrawl methods, great customer service, overnite lines, fair bonuses, and stuff like that. I'm so sick and tired of people giving credit to books everytime they pay someone. We should hold these books to a higher grading standard and give some of these "new" books incentive to improve their overall product before we mention them in the same breath with books like Olympic, WWTS, WSEX, Intertops that have great overall products and offer much more than just payouts.

If you start classifying some as "elite", "rock solid", etc. you're going to have a bunch of crying bookmakers on your hands.

Very good point about making a big deal about books who pay. Doesn't help much to see someone come in and post, hey, xyz book just paid me!! Yeah, that's what they are SUPPOSSED to do and I think it's unfortunate that in some cases it's come to that.

No question there could be a ranking system. Even simply going by number of years in business.

Let's face it, if a book has been in business many years and haven't missed a beat, they deserve recognition.

We have some books here on Bettorsworld who have been with us from day one, 7 years ago, and that's saying alot, considering we have been here for longer than 90% of the sportsbooks and casinos out there.....

How would you rate Sport Books? Sports Books are like assholes, we all have an opinion. My favorite Book might be someone elses least favorite book. Some men like white girls, some black girls, some like skinny girls, some like fat girls, some like oriental women, etc.

Bottom line, Do they PAY!!!!! Every Book on the list has a good history of paying players. 'nuff said.

                  Jeff,

Is the omission you made Big Nasa or CRIS? Or were they always off "the list?"

                    ppeter....

CRIS is on the list. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see a link which goes to a second page of the list.

                    As for Big Nasa.....

Do I think they are safe and that 99% of the people who play there will be paid? Yes. Absolutely.

I just feel at this point we would get more flack for putting them up there due to two incidents that unfortunately will always stand out and both involve a no pay....

The main point is that the list can and does change on a regular basis. It is up to the player to check the list and hopefully discreetly question Jeff or Brian should the think there is a problem with a book on the list or a book that should be on the list that ins't there. It isn't failsafe, it is impossible to predict what will happen when you get up in the morning, but most that are there have been proven over time, the best indicator.
