  • Trouble With Bodog?

I have an account there but am reading where they are stiffing another site out of advertsing money. Could this be a bad sign for us players? Should I be taking my money now to avoid any risk? Or could this simply be a misunderstanding? This is one of the bigger balances I carry off-shore (purely by coincidence) but I'd hate for this to be real trouble on the horizon.

I have had no problems with BoDog since signing up but the site with the complaint is very reputable IMO. I can't see them making this up for the hell of it. Suggestions or comments?

    Gone to the Dogs?

I never liked BoDog because every email question I sent went unanswered.

I am a very small net-only player and don't need a lot of service, but if I have a question, I expect an answer.

Now they stiffed the guy down the street . . . or at least that is the only story we are hearing.

They are on the BW list, so they are solid as far as players getting paid.

BoDog? What kind of stupid name is that I ask you?

Can you tell me what they have that you can't get at WSEX, Carib, Olympic and the like?
    As Always - Good Luck,

    Sonny

BODOG is solid by all accounts. Your money is safe at BODOG.
As an aside note, BODOG himself is a great friend of our watchdog BONES.

I've played at Bodog daily over the past year. Never a problem and I continue to play there.

I won't get involved in personal disputes, but I will say this.......

if we were to name sportsbooks that didn't make good on advertising deals over the years, you'd be very surprised at the books that would make that list. Some are among the BIGGEST and the BEST and the one(s) that started it all..........

Appreciate the feedback. I don't want to get involved in anything. Just want to makes sure I'm safe, or as safe as an off-shore player can hope to be. :D

I've had no probelms there I must say. I always hate when a good site has a complaint like this though. Reading between the lines I'm just going to ignore it for now. Thanks again.

BoDog have been some of the nicest people to deal with when it comes to customer service and wagering issues. They take care of their customers--at least that has been my experience!!

One of the best out there. Disgruntled sites seeking advertising money should keep such issues to themselves. It doesn't make anyone look good.

I've never had a problem w/ BoDog and I've got a number of clients that use them and think very highly of them. Business disputes (eg: advertising) are one thing, but the important criteria is their track record of paying their players. I've never heard as much as a peep about BoDog stiffing a player.

My only gripe about them concerns their doberman logo--why does it have to look so mean? It presents a bad image of the breed which, as an owner of rottweilers, I'm very concerned about. Dobermans, like any other dog, are only "mean" if mistreated, abused, or trained for attack duty. A well socialized doberman is a great dog. One of my wife's close friends here in Charleston is the head of a doberman rescue organization and I can't tell you how many animals she gets because inbreds buy them thinking they'll just be "mean".

Of course that's a very minor gripe....the reality is that as long as BoDog pays their players their mascot could have a bloody stump of an arm in its mouth and I'd still play there ; )
