  • Jeff - Re New Age Bets

I noticed Major Wager has stated NAB is in serious financial trouble. What can you tell us? I notice they are still and advertiser here and on your preferred list. If I recall correctly, you posted something about how you and MajorWager were going to work together to warn people of looming failures as a result of Ace's Gold.

Are they in trouble or aren't they? Should I try to get some money out if I can?

Bettorsworld is my first choice for "hot off the press" sportsbook news, the bad news about NAB is all over the streets but yet not one post here from our watchdogs.

    Very disturbing.....

This COULD be a case of a tiff over there with the book and the owners of the site. It has happened before. Plus there are two NAB's I think. The one that moved to Costa Rica and the one that stayed on Margarita Island and merged with Margarita International. I could be wrong, Jeff will have to set the record straight.

No it's the same New Age Bets (www.newagebets.com). Just click the link and you'll see.

It also looks like I'm screwed. I tried to withdraw a nickel by Neteller yesterday and received a message saying that the company couldn't process the transaction and to contact NewAgeBets for details. When I called them I was told that no withdrawals were being made at this time and that if I wanted I could put in a request for a withdrawal by bank check but they didn't know when it would be sent

They have been removed from "The List" pending further investigation. Other watchdogs do have a close relationship with this entity as they shared space, etc. They had an inside track and may have known for quite some time that there was a problem as Vinir Financial has been shut down for over six weeks.

We do not jump to immediate conclusions here. This only hurts entities and if they are experiencing a problem due to the bankruptcy of Vinir Financial, then it may take them a period of time to re-route their funds. We are aware of the situation and are watching.

In order to help us, ANY readers with problems, please contact [email protected] immediately with the situation so we can move to have it rectified.

Yeah, so much for everyone working together. With Majorbetting in the same office (which I didn't even know until yesterday) as New Age Bets you can't possibly think they didn't know. While not OWNED by the other watchdog site supposedly, it is at least AFFILIATED with them and they must speak.......something should have been said.

I have said this in many posts, someone who offer 50% bonus can not survive. Anytime you say BIG bonus there is either a scam or cash flow problem.

So let me get this straight. You're not going to admit they are in trouble, you aren't going to defend yourself for keeping them on the list and the top banner, you're just going to take them off the list and off the banner and pretend all is hunky dory???

                  You said
They had an inside track and may have known for quite some time that there was a problem as Vinir Financial has been shut down for over six weeks.

First I heard about this. If you knew Vinir financial was shut down 6 weeks ago why didn't you inform the posters here?? I am out money on this and am not happy. I trust you guys and you can't just ignore these problems by taking the book off the list. There has to be some accountability. I honestly thought these sites were designed to help the bettors identify good outs from bad outs. I thought the sites were there to help the players (while at the same time linking them up with viable outs). I now see that your advertising banner and list are nothing more than a money grab for you. You do NO bankround checks, NO investigation into books and only care about the dough re mi. If Felon's sportsbook run by an ex con who was in jail for fraud and embezzlement were to open a book, you'd be only too happy to put them on the banner and the list provided they paid you your fee.

Why don't you stop the farce of pretending you're a watchdog and admit that you are nothing more than a glorified posting forum and are only in this business for advertising dollars.

We have been posting the current news on the status of Vinir Financial since it shut down and on The Brother (Villalobos) financial exchange house in the Offshore Insider as we obtain the news. We are not privy to who keeps bank accounts at what financial institutions. We received our first inkling that something was amiss a couple days ago when the postings here began. Apparently, those who had the inside track chose not to share the information with us.

We do not claim to be an intelligence organization. We rely on the players, those we know in the industry and our own intuition to judge those who advertise us. NAB is a company that has been in business and that has been run by experienced bookmaking personnel for quite some time.

We have taken steps to make sure we stay apprised of the situation now. Please E-mail [email protected] if you have ANY information or complaints on the situation and we will work with the players to get the problems solved.

The Bettorsworld spokesman above wrote that another site may have had an inside track to potential problems at New Age Bets due to their being located in the same office.

Here at Bettorsworld, we rely on a vareity of sources for information but most important of all, POSTERS and PLAYERS.

As I write this, I have heard from all of TWO players concering New Age Bets, both yesterday.

Since then, any reference to New Age has been taken down pending the outcome.

As far as background checks, we have known of the principles involved with New Age Bets for close to 6 years, operating offshore successfully without ever having not paid a player, which is a longer track record than many other books. We also feel they have a better chance of coming up with the $$$ than someone without the contacts they have.

If wsex went out of business next week, what then??

Do you suppose all of these books allow us to look into their financials?

Do you think any book is exempt from business failure?

                      We react to information.

In scanning the boards and my email box I can't seem to find any negative feedback about New Age Bets from you, or any other player/poster......(until a day or two ago)

At some point my friend, you have to accept that this is an unregulated industry.

We do the best we can of only dealing with the very best sportsbooks in the business. We have not allowed sportsbooks to advertise here. You never see that.

If you see any sportsbooks listed above, or listed on the list, that you feel don't belong, speak up. Post all the reasons why they don't belong. If you're afraid to post it, email me all the books that don't belong and why they don't belong so we can look into it.

The Monday morning QB routine gets old.

This site was created several years ago with the intentions of players sharing information and participating in an interactive atmosphere to help make the industry safer.

Lately, players/posters want to come in and post their plays in the free contests but don't want to take the time to provide feedback about the sportsbooks.

Either that or they'd prefer to talk about the sniper shootings or who fucked who offshore or which bookmaker fell down drunk last week.

We received information about this at the same time as you, and acted accordingly. If you have ideas on how we may have received this information sooner in this instance, please let me know.

If a player contacts us and tells us a book is slow paying them, we'll immediately take the book down. Short of that, not sure what else you would expect.

This site is designed to help the bettors identify good outs from bad outs. Some books have gone sour lately, which makes everyone antsy and further destabilizes the whole offshore gaming industry. It sucks . . . . it makes me wonder, but I'm not a big player, so I wouldn't be hurt too bad if the whole thing collapsed tonight.

If you think 50% bonuses are great - take the plunge - just don't cry when they go belly up.

I've been around here for some time and got hooked up with some great outs. BW has helped countless players identify bad books and resolve untold disputes. What's that worth? Certainly it's worth what they charge you.

Places I play/played and don't worry about them folding up, and all but two I found through BW:

                        Carib
                        WSEX
                        CanBet
                        Diamond
                        Safari
                        Royal
                        Margarita

Jeff - if WSEX went south, I'd probably lose faith in the whole thing, close up shop and look for another hobby.

WTF - another one bites the dust? I hope not.
                        As Always - Good Luck,

                        Sonny

In my humble opinion, if Bw made a mistake, 1 day before the shit hit the fan, BW posted for new age, a 50% sign-up bonus. Stardust you are a moderator and I didn't hear you say anything about the 50% bonus offer untill the shit hit the fan!!!!!. I knew nothing about New Age, but I did post that 50% bonus usually means cash flow problem.

It seems some players didn't want to spill the beans till they had a shot of getting there money back. BW, when you take someone off the list, you should post that you are taking them off the list.

Now, this all hope New Age gets it together and is able to pay all players.

                            Steve, I respect your opinion.

Though in this case, I don't agree.

It was a $50 offer. The average cost of obtaining a customer is what, at least $200-$300 per customer on average these days? It was a $50 offer with a 10 times rollover.

If I could deposit 10 dimes and get 10 dimes as a bonus, then I guess that would be cause for concern.

Another well known book has used this offer or one very similar to it with great success....

Also let me add.........as I mentioned above, we rely on feedback. The feedback I have received concerning them up until now has been positive. The players I maintain regular contact with that have played there have been paid like clockwork. There were no slow pay/no pay warnings here.

Here is a clip from an email I received today that sums up what I mean:

                            >I must say I've played there for a year and half and have >moved thousands of dollars back and forth with Neteller and >never a problem, have always enjoyed playing there

                              FYI
I did see some advertisement tonight from NAB on the ODDSWIZ lines feed site.

I hope no one signs up with them as I was very close to sending funds when signing up with Oddswiz....(lucky me).
