Sports Now Pagers

Why would you want data transmitted to a pager these days when you can have it sent to your cell phone?

not the same blowfish, the layout on a cell phone is a hassle. The format on a pager is perfect and much easier to retrieve the data

I tried the cell phone method. Two ways. One, by connecting to the net via the phone and checking scores, and the other by having text messages sent with updates. Both are a hassle and time consuming.

It's nice with a pager, specifically the sports now one, because they do a good job with the line updates and the frequent scoring updates along with like a play by play to let you know whats going on in the game.

Comes in handy for line updates to when you are on the road.

I guess you're right. I get alerts sent to my cell phone, but it does take time to sign on and get them, and the text messages also must be accepted and then read. I never thought about it that way, I was thinking more from the standpoint of only carrying one thing around with you.
