Alright, we got another interesting matchup
this week with Philly at Greenbay. The line at my book
is up to 5 1/2 already, which kind of scares me, but lets
try and cap this one. I know there is some amazing
stats out there with brett favre playing on Monday
nights, so that is also going to be taken into account.
After checking the stats I have found some disturbing
numbers. Green Bay is 30th in the league with total
defense and a pass defense of 29th in the league.
Their rush defense is also nothing to write home
about with a 18th ranking. On the other hand, they
do have a potent running game (3rd in league) and
are 3rd in the league in total offense a game. So the
offensive edge has to go to Green Bay.
The Eagles have a pass d of 26th in the league,
and dawkins isnt playing who is by far the leader
of that secondary. So I can not see favre throwing
interceptions tonite. There rush D is 10th in the
league, which may slow green down a little bit,
but i think favre will air it out tonite if they have
trouble with the run.
I usually like betting on teams with the better
defense, running game and quarterback. As
for the defense, they are both pretty poor,
so there is no clear advantage here. The running
game i would have to go with ahman green who
has been phenomenal this year. And as for
the quarterback I am going to go with brett favre
because he is at home, in the primetime, cold
lambeau night, should be right up his alley.
Here is another intersting fact, now tell me if you
see anything in common with these teams????
This is the top 5 teams that have the most
allowed sacks:
Washington 4-5
PHILLY 5-3
Chicago 3-6
Pitt 3-6
Buffalo 4-5
Seattle 6-3
This looks like a group full of losers to me.
even though the seahawks and eagles
seem to be winning games.
My Pick = Green Bay 5 1/2
very small wager, the spread seems kind of
high.
Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions??? the
more info the better!
thanks all, and good luck!
