NFL Game of the Week

Official Rules:

1. Players in this contest will post one pick per week using the official line. If more than
one pick is posted the first pick will be used. Editing picks will not be allowed. Once your
pick is posted it is official.

2. Sides or totals picks MUST be posted by advertised NFL kickoff time, not actual kick
off time. Example 1:00-4:00-4:15-8:30-9:00 etc. NO EXCEPTIONS !

3. The official line will be posted by Thursday. This is the only line allowed.

4. Wins, loses and ties will be recorded and posted on Tuesdays. (hopefully)

5. Not posting a pick will be counted as a loss.

6. Three weeks without posting a pick and you are out of the contest

7. A tie breaker will be used in the Super Bowl game if needed.

8. A list of official contest players will be posted beginning week #3.

9. Players will "NOT" be allowed in after week #2.

10. If you come in on week #2, week #1 will be counted as a loss

11. Prizes will be supplied by Bettorsworld.

12. 1st place $1000 / 2nd place $500 / 3rd place $250 / 4th place $250

14. Best record possible is 21-0. Seventeen regular season games, 1 wild card game, 1
divisional playoff game, 1 conference championship game and the Super Bowl. A total of
21 picks.

I'm tied with three others for fourth place. It's kind of a cat and mouse game with the leaders waiting to see who picks whom, and only 8 choices to pick from this week. Those trying to catch up don't want to end up with the same pick as the leaders or they can't gain any ground. But Philly is my top pick and it's the final game of the weekend, so I'm staking my claim now rather than waiting to see how many wait until this final game. There won't be any other choices at that time anyway, except the over/under if you can beat the clock and get it in after you see the leaders pick.

History says 81% of the Home Teams who had the week off will win. The question is, which ones will cover. Everyone knows the advantage the Home Teams in this position have had over the years, and the point spreads mostly reflect this.
