  • Illinois vs Wisconsin SATURDAY

Illinois travels to madison to play the Badgers Saturday.

The last time Illinois has won in WI was 1998 in OT

Illinois is coming off a 43 point win, the largest margin of victory in the Big Ten since 1956.

WISKY has won 23 straight home games and are 38-2 under Bo Ryan at home.

The Badgers are a perfect 19-0 against the big ten under his era.

This game shapes up to be a great match up...

WISKY is tough at home (no doubt) but injured...They play a hell of a DEFENSE

ILLINOIS is starting to gel and when playing at peak performance are a top 8 team in the nation.

WISKY should open up as a 3 point favorite according to my numbers.

If I am going to pull the trigger on this game, assuming my line is correct I am laying with Illinois to win this game out right.....

I am really looking forward to this game. This is the best matchup in the Big Ten this year. I follow the Badgers like you follow the Illini. Thoughts:

    1. The Badgers are banged up. Two starters did not play last game (an 11 point victory over Michigan). It is doubtful Alondo Tucker will play. Freddie Owens probably will. That said, Tucker has only been available for 3 games this year (they have adjusted without him). Owens is more of a role player, but is considered a top notch defender.

    2. Devin Harris is quick enough to stay with Dee Brown . . . .and vice versa.

    3. The Badgers do not turn the ball over

    4. The Badgers play a unique swing offense which often results in guards posting up. It is difficult to defend . . .especially when you are not used to it.

    5. Although Illinois is familiar with the Badger style of play . . .Bruce Weber has not yet faced it. I don't think Illinois has found its best stride yet under Weber.

    6. That Illinois loss at Northwestern has got to make them question their ability to win on the road. Now they go into the home of the best team in the Big Ten. You saw Carpet's stats. What you didn't see is they win their home games by an average of about 20 per game.

I expect this spread to be around 6. These two play great games lately against one another. I could not support a Illinois straight up play. If the number is 6, the points become enticing.
    Race you to the windows!

Off shore line -6.0 for WISKY....

This game shapes up to be a real dog fight....

If the Badgers are going to lose at home this year, this is the game...

Illinois is starting to fire on 7 of 8 cylinders.....

WISKY averages 8.2 turn overs a game (very low) and a compliment to control basketball.

The guards of Illinois are superior to WISKY's defensive match up, while they focus on Dee Brown (the one man fast break) this frees up Deron Williams, this kid is starting to play serious ball.

The inside game of Illinois is also better than Wisconsin, Roger Powell 6-6 all stater is starting to play again,

James Augustine 6-10 forward is Solid Inside..... And Illinois will throw Nick Smith 7-2 Center off the bench to seal the inside game.

Illinois as a team is experiencing a "GUT CHECK" and you can bet they will leave it all on the floor.

I know this will be a good, solid hard fought game....

      ILLINOIS getting 6 points.....

The Carpet is covering the floor with twenty's for Illinois in this game. I seen how this team played last game and believe me it was a real positive change....

      Good Luck to all
