Anybody got any investments lined up for NFL futures.

So far I am going to make small plays on a few over/unders:

    San Francisco under 7.5
    San Diego over 4.5
    Oakland under 8
    Indianapolis over 10
    Dallas over 9
    New York Jets under 9

There is a lot out there that I like, but I like these the best

Others that I like but am not playing:

    Tennessee under 9.5
    Pittsburgh under 8
    New York Giants under 7
Green Bay under 9 (maybe a long shot)

          Statistics

Here is some statistics to consider for NFL futures after the preseason. Thought I'd share the information so use it if you like it.

Since 1988, teams that finish the preseason undefeated have gone on to the regular season with a:

          winning record 22/34 times (64.7%)
          .500 record 4/34 times (11.7%)
          losing record 8/34 times (23.5%)

Last year New England, Carolina, Tennessee, and Arizona finished the preseason undefeated. I'm not sure of the over/under lines for these teams, but I'm pretty sure 3/4 went over. I'm not sure about Arizona because they finished the season 4-12.

There are a lot of teams with an over/under at 9 this year, so the information might be helpful. Since 1988, the teams that didn't finish with a winning record were Arizona (03), Minnesota (01), San Diego (00), Baltimore (98), N.Y. Jets (92), Arizona (91), Detroit (90), and Atlanta (90). At these times, most of these teams were pretty easy to spot out as bad from the start, so the information would have turned into a nice profit.

On the other hand, since 1988 teams that finished the preseason winless have gone to the regular season with a:

          Losing record 19/28 times (67.8%)
          .500 record 6/28 times (21.4%)
          Winning record 3/28 times (10.7%)

Of these teams, only 3 made it to the playoffs, 2 made it to the superbowl, and 0 won the superbowl.

Since 1988, teams that won at least 3 games by 10 or more points in the preseason have gone on to the regular season with a:

          winning record 20/27 times (74%)
          .500 record 1/27 time (3.7%)
          losing record 6/27 times (22.2%)

Of these teams, 18 made it to the playoffs. In 2003, New England and Carolina fit under this category.

Since 1988, teams that lost at least 3 games by 10 or more points in the preseason have gone on to the regular season with a:

          Losing record 20/29 times (68.9%)
          .500 record 3/29 times (10.3%)
          Winning record 6/29 times (20.7%)

Of these teams, only 6 made it to the playoffs, 2 made it to the superbowl, and 0 won the superbowl

Since 1988, teams that won at least 3 games by 10 or more points and that have gone undefeated in the preseason, have gone on to the regular season with a:

          winning record 12/15 times (80%)
          .500 record 1/15 time (6.67%)
          losing record 2/15 times (13.3%)

Of these teams, 10 went to the playoffs, 4 went to the superbowl, and 2 won the superbowl
