SAN DIEGO PADRES
Today I like the San Diego Padres. Listed pitchers are Brian Lawrence for the Padres and Woody Williams for the Cardinals. Both of these ball clubs have been playing well as of late. Lawrence is 8-4 on the road with an ERA of 3.54 and Williams is 4-3 at home with an ERA of 3.46. Lawrence is the hotter pitcher here today coming off of back to back complete games beating the Marlins 1-0 and the Mets 4-0. This is the first time since 1998 that the Padres are involved in a playoff race and I feel as though that hunger will be enough behind Lawrence to get the job done today and pull out the W against a solid Cardinal club!
