The computer that is my brain says bet N.E. too. The word is that the Patriots are none too happy about the change in the rules, which coincidently was sparked by this very same team. The Colts used this as an excuse for their being humiliated in the playoffs last year. So now if a DB so much as touches a receiver after five yards flags will fly. This is the only way for the Pats not to win and cover this game. I hope the whiners from Indy get this rule to blow up in their face, allowing N.E. receivers to cruise through an already less than stellar passing defense. DZ
Something else that will happen as a result of this rule change is that there will be more points scored in NFL games this year. Can you say OVER the total????
I was listening to a sports talk show today and they touched on this rule change. The general consensus was that the refs will call this like crazy the first couple of weeks, but that when games start running long because of the great number of penalties being called, the NFL will be forced to back off as they don't want their games running much longer than 3 hrs.
So, look to play some overs for a couple of weeks, then look to play some unders starting in week 3 or 4...
