Is it to early to talk NCAA Basketball....
Illinois opens up the pre-season ranked # 5 in the country...
The Orange Crush returns all 5 starters from a 26-7 team of last year..
The Illini will be tested early and often as they open up Dec 1 at Champaign vs 2nd ranked Wake Forest (Mark this one the calander) just four days after playing 25th ranked Gonzaga.
The Illini have the best back court in the nation without question, strong inside and love to press on Defense. A Solid coach who demands an all out effort every play. Coach Weber in his second year is well known in these parts for his 5:30 am full contact drills....
While the Illini are strong on paper they do have some weakness, the bench is one area of concern, it is yet to be determined if they are 8 or 9 deep.
I covered Illinois in depth last year and again the laser beam is focused, stay with me as we make some money on this team.
