Illinois/Northwestern
I hate to do this, but I disagree w/ Carpet. NW is a completely different team @ home, granted nowhere near as talented as Illinois, however, look inside the numbers.
NW 7-1 SU @ home this year and 26-12 SU @ home these last three seasons while they are 7-27 on the road.
Yes, Illinois will try to exact revenge for last year's loss @ NW, however, +14 at home in a hostile enviroment and a slow down pace is too much. If NW slows it down and hangs around the mid-way through the first half, this ticket ought to $.
NW 3*
Louisville/Cincinnati
Additionally, I have an opinion play on Louisville +3 against Cincinnati.
Did you know that Louisville is 8-0 ATS since 97 when being a road dog of 3 points of less?
Louisville 2*
UNC/WF
Granted UNC has been rolling as of late, stomping Georgia Tech and Maryland at HOME.
Look at the larger picture....
The prior four games were also at home against cupcake teams, William & Mary, Cleveland St., UNC Wilmington and Vermont.
Additionally, has UNC not been challenged on the road, heck, they have only played four road games losing at Santa Clara and downing IU by 7.
WF has played a tough ACC road game already, beating VA #25 at the time. Last timeout WF beat up Maryland out.
Plus WF has been challenged so far this year, playing Arizona @ MSG and at Illinois, granted they were distroyed.
However, this is a home game.
WF a home dog? I'll take the points even though I won't need them.
