Might as well throw some money on the garmmys since it will be on in my house tonight.

Top new artist: Kanye West -240

Don't know hwo the hell he is but he will win tonight. His competition will be Redneck woman, Gretchen Wilson, who beat him out at the last big awards show. The Grammy's are not Country Music friendly, so West is the pick even at the steep Price.

Best record:

Usher- "Yeah" -180...

He is the man this year and he will take this award. Player SB has it at -180 and Olympic is at -230.

Best Song (longshot bets):

John Maher- 'Daughters" +800

Tim McGraw 'Live like you were dying' +800

Both long shots but have hte best value.

Usher Yeah 1/3 would be the only one to put up a fight in this catogory but I'm not sure the Grammys have went that far into the hip hop part of things

Song of the year If I ain't got you Alicia Keys 4/5 got soo much air play I was burned out long long ago BTW if you like Daughters it's 9-1 instead of 8-1 at Bo dog

Well, 1-2 but hit the long shot with John Maher.

Good calls GQ on Ray Charles. I really cannot believe that Kanye West got screwed again for best new artist. I thought that was a slam dunk since he bitched so much the last time he got left out. Hope you played Maroon as that was a good call too.

I never thought about the Ray Charles/Nora Jones angle. It seems like sentiment runs the awards shows a lot. e.g. Loretta Lynn winning best country album over Tim McGraw and Keith Urban?????

It was fun to bet on and we should get together on the next award shoe and put our heads together. There is some money to be made if you look around.

I wasn't going to bet anything on the Grammy's ......but I saw your thread and in made me think about it

I REALLY didn't think you were going to hit your John MAyor! I got the cd (ashamed) even was draged to a concert.......but I hate that song and made fun of it the very first time I heard it....and even more once I heard the inspration behind it.

So yeah I made a few bucks....nothin I didn't loose in College hoops and the NBA though for the week.

I have a really short battery for this stuff I was on fire for 2 weeks at like 68% then 50% this last week I hit about 25%

But yeah next awards show we can get together and bounce ideas around....that's all I'm really looking for is like a MATURE brain trust to get into....that's why when I came back to this site I was dissapointed they didn't have a chatroom anymore
