NIT Tourney

I think the NIT comes down to one thing 'MOTIVATION'. Which teams feel they were snubbed by the big tourney and which teams are happy to still be playing.

Tonight we have Marquette vs. Western Michigan.

Have not checked too much but I would bet they are both happy to still be playing. Western can't feel as bad as not going as their confernece champs, Miami-OH.

How can a team that wins there own freaking conf. not get invited to the tourney? What the hell do you play for all year? Not a Miami-OH fan at all but I would be pissed if I were them.

What do you guys think?

I think it all comes down to the fact that only 64 teams can get in. There will always be teams that deserve to be there that won't make the tourney. Then of course there will always be teams that have no business being on the same court as the Dukes and North Carolinas.

I'd like to see them expand the tournament. Why not make one HUGE tourney that lasts a little longer and includes more teams. I would think that would work for all involved (including us speculators) : )
