The NFL game of the week handicapping contest is the most popular football contest on Bettorsworld.com The contest is simple. Pick ONE NFL game per week, against the spread. The winner is the handicapper with the most wins at the end of the year. The contest runs right thru the Super Bowl in February.
This contest is held in our main Bookies Hell posting forum. Picks are posted in the appropriate thread each week, and standings are generally posted on Tuesdays.
This contest is not only popular to participate in, but also very popular among those looking for quality free picks. The reason for this is very simple. There's some great handicappers in this contest, and each week, you're getting their very best play!
The prizes for this contest are as follows :

We're also going to sweeten the pot this year. Bettorsworld has a team entered in the Hilton Contest in Las Vegas. The 1st place prize last year in this contest was over $200,000 and was won by an internet sites posting forum! So, not only will Bettorsworld have a team in the contest, but we will donate our portion of any prize money to the NFL GAME OF THE WEEK contest!
We will also have two teams in the Carib handicapping contest. One of those teams will also be competing for the winners of the NFL game of the week contest. (70k first prize guaranteed, of which bettorsworld will donate it's share, 1/5th, to the top 10 finishers if the NFL game of the week contest)
So, aside from competing for the posted prize money and a chance to win 10k by going 21-0, There's the potential for an additional 55k + in prizes to be distributed amongst the top 10 finishers in the contest!!!

Official Rules:
1. Players in this contest will post one pick per week using the official line. If more than
One pick is posted the first pick will be used. Editing picks will not be allowed. Once your
pick is posted it is official.
2. Sides or totals picks MUST be posted by advertised NFL kickoff time, not actual kick
off time. Example 1:00-4:00-4:15-8:30-9:00 etc. NO EXCEPTIONS !
3. The official line will be posted by Thursday. This is the only line allowed.
4. Wins, loses and ties will be recorded and posted on Tuesdays. (hopefully)
5. Not posting a pick will be counted as a loss.
6. Three weeks without posting a pick and you are out of the contest
7. A tie breaker will be used in the Super Bowl game if needed. And possibly the afc and nfc championship games. If necessary, these plays will be emailed to me and I will post them for everyone to see at least a half hour before kickoff.
8. A list of official contest players will be posted beginning week #3.
9. Players will "NOT" be allowed in after week #2.
10. If you come in on week #2, week #1 will be counted as a loss
11. Prizes will be supplied by Bettorsworld.
