Pittsburgh comes into this contest with a 4-0 record while Auburn comes in with a 3-1 record. Auburns lone loss came against a Colorado State team that gave them fits with a couple of 7 footers. Not only did they have problems shooting over the big men, but they also turned the ball over 19 times in that game. Auburns point guards played well enough, but their supporting cast made numerous mistakes. Sophmore Guard Frank Tolbert has 11 turnovers in his last 2 games, and is drawing scrutiny from the watchful eye of Coach Jeff Lebo.
Look for Auburn to have problems with a very good defensive Pitt Team that just happens to have a tall guy in Aaron Gray (7-0,270 lbs) who will not only be a defesive problem, but will cause offensive problems as well. Auburn will wear down under the intensive pressure that will be put on by the Pittsburgh defense and will not be able to answer the scoring combination of Point Guard Krauser and Big Man Gray.
