College Hoops Week of 12/19

Looks like a busy week of college hoops with some holiday tourney action starting today. I personally hope to get back on track as I am 21-23 posting plays here. Luckily, I missed posting some plays so I am actually in postive units at my books but not by much.

Lets make some more money this week and with all the insight we have here, I think that is possible.

I will be back with my monday plays but already know I am tailing Spang on the early Akron game.

21-23 YTD

Tenn-Chatanooga +3 vs. Holy Cross...May ber forcing this one on two teamI don;t know much about. Seem pretty even to me so I am taking the points in the early game. Playing only 1/2 of my normal play.

Akron -13 (bought 1/2 pt.) over Mt. St. Marys...Liked this one early and when Spang speaks MAC, you better listen!

Indiana -3.5 vs Charlotte

I must play Indiana, while both teams have been
idle for 9 days, Indiana is just a much better team
Indiana is shooting 54% from the field, much to
the success of the inside game, while charlotte
is shooting only 60% from the charity stripe.

Word is there will be alot of NBA Scouts at
this game tonight and I look for Indy to bring it tonight

My Numbers show Indiana by 7

Kansas -18.0 vs Pepperdine

KU coming off a 8 day lay off could be
just a little sluggish coming out the gate.

My numbers show Pepperdine keeping this
game to a 13-14 point difference

21-24-1 YTD. Lost Chatanooga play earlier and pushed Akron.

Rest of Monday:

NC-Greensborugh +5 (bought 1/2) at Delaware...Kind of a messed up line in my opinion. Should basically be a pick with a shade toward the Delaware for home court. NC is 6-3, Delaware 2-6. Delaware off huge road trip and have rested for 8 days. Rusty or fresh??? Doesn;t really matter in my opinion. NC's strenght is offense, Delaware's weakness is Defense and gettinf a few points makes this an attractive play to me.

Southern Miss +4 vs. Tenny State...Going with the home team here although they have burned me before. Have kept my eye on this team becasue Larry Eusatchy (Former Iowa State drunken coach) is the head guy. They started off slow but have started scoring of late and always play good Defense. Like them to win SU at Home.

3-team 10-pt mixed tease:

Indiana +5 at UNC-Charlotte
Stanford -1 vs. Denver
OVER 24 Packers/Ravens

Also looked at:

Pepperdine +18 at KU
Sam Housotn +21 at Arizona

Think these 2 public, usual power house teams are laying a bit too much tonight against 2 decent teams. Haven;t played them yet but may make small plays later.

More info on the Indy game for tonight.

Last year, in a non conference game, Charlotte beat Indy at the buzzer. Scored on a half court bomb at the buzzer to give the 49ers a 74-73 win in Bloomington. The Hoosiers remember and want pay back tonight, and should be up for this one.

Depending where you play, the spread is showing Indy favored from -2.5 to -3.5.

Pepperdine has got to be the worst shooting team
in the Free World

against Kansas 17 for 59 from the field 28%
From 3 point land it was much worse 3 for 18
for a low low 16.7%

But dont kid yourself that shooting % was not due
to a Kansas vice like defense, it was do to a
complete lack of ball control and discipline
something that I thought this coach would of
had a handle on it by now.....

Kansas shot about 38 % from the floor and
they also look bad....

23-25-1 YTD

Three for Tuesday:

Northern Illinois -1 (bought whole point) vs. K-State...NIU is a team to watch this year. K-State has some talent think the home team wins a close one here. Line is 2 but I bought 1-point just on a gut feeling.

San Diego -3 vs. Loyola-Chicago..Bought 1/2 point here too. Just going with the better team at home here.

Providence -2 (biought 1/2) vs. Northeastern...Kind of wondering why this line is this low but still think it is the right play with another home team.

Liking the fact that I have founbd 3 solid Home Teams tonight. I need to get on a hot streak here soon!
