  • Nuggets vs Jazz Game Thread

    Jazz ML

Denver has won 3 games in a row, but the Jazz have improved their perfomance day in, day out, so the Nuggets really can´t expect an easy ride here.

Yes, Denver has won 5 out of last 6 games, but they have had luck on their side. 2 points win over Mingless and injured T-Mac, 3rd OT win against the Suns, +7 points against the Bucks, +3 points against the Bulls and only 1 point win against the Cleveland Cavaliers. So really things could (and maybe should) be much worse here. Denver`s only loss came against the T`Wolves 89-103. The Nuggets biggest problem is injury of their main force down low - Marcus Camby. His broken finger hasn’t healed just yet so he will miss few more games. Against the Jazz`s strong frontcourt not having Camby will hurt more than in an average game.

If the Nuggets have won 3 straight then the Jazz are maybe playing the best basketball over last 2 seasons right now. They have won 8 games over the last 11, with their losses coming against the Heat, the Grizzlies and the Clippers (in OT). Away wins over the Lakers, Wizards, and Pistons (!!!) clearly show that they can win games in hostile environment. Having 3 days of rest after easily putting away the Raptors can only do good here, so we expect Kirilenko and Co to come out at their best tonight.

Bookies rate the Jazz as a dog here. Reality is that the Jazz have at least equal chances against the Nuggets to win tonight. Taking the Jazz win with medium(-) stakes is the right thing to do here.
