Woodee12, Thanks bro for stepping up to the plate

      1. Here are my thoughts, I am not sure where you
plan to get the brackets but CBS Sportsline offers
a bracket contest that you can make private to those
user who sign up , you can find it at
www.sportsline.com. There you can create a private
      room for BW only.....

      2. The 500 bucks is a great prize, maybe say
      80% 1st place, 10% 2nd and 5% to the third place
      winner, just a thought.....

          Guys....

I think I'd prefer to have it in the forum.....

With that in mind, if it's too much trouble to keep standings, we could use the honor system. It's easy enough to go back and verify the winner if anyone challanges.....

I would suggest two potential formats -

          1) pick every game against the spread for the entire tournament.

          or

          2) a) Pick 10 games in round 1 (thurs and fri)

b)10 games in round 2 (sat and sun)

          c) then pick every game for the rest of the tourney

I can post the official contest lines for each day of the contest.

So, we need to pick a format and a prize distribution ............

let me know what you think

That sounds more like what I was thinking just because everyone is probably already in 5 bracket contests anyway and I like to possibly play some of the leaders and hot players picks for actual cash, like in the NFL contest. It benefits both in ways of a fun contest and for capping.

I guess the hard part is finding out which line to use.

Any ideas? Alos, I think the honor system will work too and would make my job easier by just posting a leaderboard instead of tracking individual picks.

I'll grab the lines right off Don Best so they'll be current as of the time I post them. I'll add a hook on all of them so there won't be any ties.

What we may want to do is assign a weigting process to the plays, which would further help those looking to use the leaderboard for their own handicapping.

Maybe all plays are work one point but you can designate a certain number of best bets which will count as more.....

              whatever you guys think.

I Like the second format most.

                pick 10 round one
                pick 10 round two
pick all rest of the way

                Sounds great...

I would vote to pay at least 2-3 places but the majority to the winner.

10 picks per round for 1st 2 rounds then all afterwards. No weighting of picks.
1-2-3 places and at least 70% to winner.

I agree that Option # 2 above is the best....

and also agree with THE BOY....NO weighted picks...
