Illinois opens the Big 10 tourney vs MSU, This
will be the third meeting this year between these
teams with Illinois looking for a sweep.
The Illini open a 5 pt chalk, the line is dropping
now at ILLINOIS -4.0
A LOOK AT ILLINOIS
Holding opponents to 57 points a game and
just 30% from three point land, the Illini are ranked
6th in the country in scoring defense and 16th
nationally in FG Defense %.
The Illini also rank 10th in the nation in
rebounding margin, Out hitting the boards by
an avg of 6.8 rebounds per game.
This Illinois has found it best chemistry
at the right time of the year, as the BIGS are
finding their game. Over the last 6 games the
front court of the Illini have really stepped it up to
average 40 points on 67% shooting inside.
Dee Brown of Illinois always gets up big time
when he plays vs MSU, he was highly recruited by
coach IZZO and his best friend brown also plays for
MSU. Look for Mr Dee Brown to continue his mastery
of winning over MSU in his last game vs one of
his favorite coaches.

MSU THOUGHTS
MSU has finished the regular season on
a down note. Injuries a major factor. The real
concern for MSU is the lack of mental toughness
in team play.
Brown of MSU will have a good game vs Illinois,
his two best games this year was vs Illinois.
I suspect Fatigue to be a factor in todays shown
down with Illinois.

Illinois Center James Augustine needs just 3
rebounds to reach the magical 1000/1000 club.
He will be the first player in ILLINOIS HISTORY and
the 11th player in Big 10 history to reach 1000 pts
and 1000 rebounds.
James will find himself in some pretty good company
with the likes of Jerry Lucas, Walt Bellamy and
Rudy Tomjanovich, (OSU, MICHIGAN, AND INDY)
