What kind of message does this send to the rest of the Diamondbacks, that they trade away a big bat for a minor leaguer and they are only 4 games back.

I see Arizona fading away the rest of the way.

I must not be the only one thinking this way the public is jumping on the Giants tonight.

I have watched baseball all my life but can someone explian to me why there is a trading deadlne but there are still trades going on. I may be an idiot but have always wondered that.

That was a bad message to send to the Dbacks, i agree.

If you can still trade, I want to get rid of Isringhausen for the Cards. Might as well served up Beltran a slow-pitch softball tonight in the 9th. Won my bet on the mets but still, what kind of closer makes mistakes like that every other time out? No closer=Early playoff (or no playoff) exit!!

I believe the trade deadline means players traded before that date can be used in the postseason(playoffs) after that date they cannot.
