Upset Special (3 Reasons why)

I open my year with an upset special.

I have Atl +5 - I truly believe they can win this one outright. here's why.

1) Openers - Atlanta is 7-1 in their last 8, Carolina is 1-3 in their last 4.

2) Trends - ATL is 5-2 as a September Road Dog, CAR is 4 - 11 as a home favorites of more than 3 points.

3) Intagible - There are great expectations for the panthers this season and under Delhomme they have not started that quick, on the other hand this is a game that can put Vick and the Falcons on the map.

Atlantas defense should keep this game close. I really their defensive line with the addition of Abraham. Don't know about the SU win but when its tight, anyone can win.

I like it too. I love going against teams with big expectation. The so called experts are never right.

I like going with the teams that no one gives a chance to in the NFL.

Like Buff over NE and Det over Seattle for example.

I also think week 1 is a good time to take points becuase the public (i.e. money) is heavy on favorites with Superbowl expectations thus inflating the line.
