  • Hedging a bet

I have been doing it for years...Love the 3 team parlay.

I know everyone has thier take on it....lets hear yours

Tonight I have to do it again.

Got Cinncy +1 and Philly -5.5 in....need NYG +3...$40.00 3 teamer to get me 241.14 at Pinnacle

Hedged Indy-3(+108) for $120.00....Hate doing it but better some $$ than none

I prefer to stick with the original wager in those situations.

You basically have the Giants on the moneyline at +600 whereas anyone else who took the Giants on the moneyline has +140 or so. You have a huge edge going in.

I can underatand wanting to lock in a profit though.

Very smart bet. I do not do it when lines change like N. Ill -14 then Ohio +19+'. Wish i would have,, But on parlays, In my opinion anyway. Crazy not too...again, jmo

I'm glad you hedged that one! It's always nice to take $$ from the book!

That's a tough call for me every time. One way you look at it is that it's nice to lock in a guaranteed profit. The other way I look at it is, I played a 3 team parlay. If I'd wanted a 2 team parlay I would have played a 2 team parlay. With my luck however (or lack thereof) it seems like hedging always pays off
