Cincinnati Bengals over Pittsburgh Steelers
I've said it before and I'll say it again.......The Steelers just ain't the same team minus "The Bus" and Randle El.....Add to the fact that EVERYTHING went their way last year and helpled them to overachieve tremendously, and also the fact that the Q.B Ben R. (I'm not even gonna try to spell that last name) is still woozy from his off-season accident (I don't care how much clearance he gets from his doctors) he's just not the same quarterback he was last year....at least not yet......It also doesn't help that the defense has a couple of small holes right now......Something I feel the Bengals might exploit this weekend.
Minnesota Vikings over the Chicago Bears
I'll be the first to agree that the Bears and Seahawks are the class of the NFC, but this game being played in Minnesota should be a big obstacle for Da bears to hurdle......Grossman had everything go his way last week against the pass-defenseless Lions, and he had the game of his life (4 T.D. passes), but he'll find things a little different in this week's hostile environment.......The Vikings are rejuvenated and hyped-up for this storied rivalry and should spring the upset.
Tampa Bay Bucs over Carolina Panthers
Even though Tampa Bay Q.B. Chris Simms has yet to prove he can be consistently effective is this league, and the team being off to a lousy 0-2 start, I just feel this team is better than it has shown.......With Carolina's pass defense being what it is, look for the Buc's to rush it early and often in a ball control-type game plan........As of this writing, Panther WR Smith was still a game time decision, which means he'll probably play.....But the way the over-hyped Panthers have started out the season, I'm not sure he can be the difference even if he does play.
GREEN BAY PACKERS OVER DETROIT LIONS
I'm going out on a limb here, especially since I've been preaching about how Brett Farve should have hung 'em up 3 years ago.......It's just that he's played better as an underdog lately, and I just don't feel the Lions are any better......At least I KNOW their Q.B. situation isn't any better.....Heck with it, I'll take the experience factor in what figures to be a shootout.....Whoever has the ball last will win this one.....Good Luck
P.S........Of course there are other obvious choices out there to win straight-up, I just figured you wanted some UNDERDOGS who had a a chance on the money line.....Let's kill 'em this weekend boys !!!!;)

I play in a couple pools like this. I won the only one I was in last year on cbssportsline.com. I haven't finished worst than top 2 in any straight up pool in the last 4 years (honestly). But this I have been off to probably one of my worst starts ever this year for a straight up pool. I'm in two pools this year and I'm only at 20 wins after 2 weeks. The leader in one of my pools is already at 26 wins for the year he went 15-1 last week (only loss Miami). Anyway I will post all my picks later tonight or Saturday afternoon

I like the Colts straight up. Can't see them losing this game.
Actually, since you mentioned this I've been looking at the board and can't find any games this week that I would peg as no brainers.
It will be interesting to see how the dogs do this week.
This is the kind of week where it might pay off big time to try a few moneyline parlays with dogs.

This week is definately looking like a bitch. I was thinking about teasing a few games, which would actually make it like picking SU. I was thinking Bills +.5, and Colts -.5 would be a pretty solid teaser. I'm also thinking about doing the same thing with the Eagles and Pats. What do you guys think?

Close but no cigar on the sweep......Just as well though.... A $100 parlay on all 4 of my teams would have paid about $4,900 (moneyline parlay, of course).....Did I play it?.....Nope.........Sure would have been pissed at myself if it hit.......Heck with it, I'm havin' fun....These have been some great games so far......Good Luck all.
