Well i cant say i have alot of money but I play poker as a part time job. So i have a larger bank roll than most. Two im not that new to sports betting. Ive been doing it for about three years. Cant say its been that much of a profit for me in the past. I made a few bucks last week. So all i was asking if this was wise. I like it is it that bad of a bet.

Find it hard to believe you have any skill at poker when you're playing 3 team parlays in sports.

Good poker requires knowing the percentages/odds of winning any particular hand and sizing up the pot. Are you sure you aren't getting lucky?

How can you know poker percentages and not sportsbetting?

Why not play these games straight up instead of in a parlay?

Personally I don't think the Redskins will cover.

You could win the parlay. But it's still a bad bet.

Brink in the last couple of days ive read post were you have attacked people for no reason. Yes I play poker, yes I manage to pay bills off of playing, and yes I can lay 300 dollars on a parlay and not missed it. Its a disposable income. It doesnt exist untill i put it in my account. Betting sports and playing poker is like comparing apples and oranges. As you have already showed your ignorance please refrain from replying to my post. Poker is nothing like sports betting. In now way was i trying to brag about playing poker. Theres no way you can compare the two. There is really nothing i like this week to bet on. I dont like baltimore+7 1/2 I feel that cleveland sucks but i think that they showed up to play Baltimore at home. Philly +6 1/2 I even know that SF is strong at home, Philly is going to play and i doubt there going to choke at the end again. Now knowing that if i put money on them strait up it wouldnt be worth it. Theres no method to my madness. All i was simply asking was for an opinion on the games. Brink since you know so much please give me a statistic that compares sports betting to poker.

I like it. balls to the wall. They are solid picks and you're taking advantage of weak ass lines that are a reflection of the past. Baltimor and philly should win su. The redskins have sooo much more talent than the texans, not to mention the texans defense sucks. The vikings have a good defense and the cowboys defense is awesome. If the Skins were 2-0 this line would be 8. The talent is still there and at a bargain price.

Poker and sport betting are exactly the same. You put your money in play when you perceive an advantage and sit it out when you don't. 3 straight bets is probably the way to go.

                            Bama nailed it.

They are both about KNOWING THE ODDS and betting accordingly.

Successul poker players can look at a pot and then look at their cards and quickly determine if their cards are worth a play based on the hand they have and the amount of money in the pot.

Successful sports bettors can look at propositions and determine if they have an edge.

                            No difference.

Brink both apples and oranges grow on trees of course your going to find some similarity in the two. Since im fairly succesful at poker does it make me succesful at sports betting.........no. To me betting a sports outcome is totally different then betting on cards. There many variables that come in to play that i can and cant control in cards. Sports looks like a total gamble to me. Maybe its because i do not like the idea of putting the outcome in others hands or that im not seeing what the other more expeirenced sports bettors are seeing. Im not afraid to admit that im no seasoned vet at sports betting but im here to learn. So please dont reply with your worthless self critisim. Anyways enough about this. Im not having this arguement with you.Im happy with my life are you? I cant help that your sour on life and you dont believe that people cant have success. Now time to watch football. Brink I havent seen any of your picks this week after the northwestern game. Just a critic i guess. Enjoy life dont be so sour. Good luck to everyone.
