          Adding -
New England -6.5 - Double revenge for the Pats and they get Denver at home this time after 2 straight SU losses @ Denver, the last one knocking N.E. from the playoffs. Denver only has 1 offensive TD this year so far and Plummer has looked bad. The running game has been decent but see the Pats containing the run and forcing Plummer to the air where he will make mistakes, hopefully setting up New England with field position advantages to offset the Denver 'D'. New England has not been a great 'cover' team lately at home but with extra motivation and Denver's offense not clicking I think we'll see that change tonite. Tough venue for Denver to get offense on track. Pats win along the lines of 26-13.

I love Tonights play, bad weather or not Denver looks like crap this year and shouldn't be able to get a TD again
            good luck

I didn't get my wager in on time prior to the start of the game but I was able to make an 'in running' wager just now for N.E. -4.5

                Good Luck Dragon-

They don't look so good tonight and the bad weather isn't there, I guess you can't believe things you read.
                good luck

Man, New England sucks! How on Earth did they ever beat the Jets and the Bills anyway?

As I stated earlier in the week in the "Early Looks" thread, these two teams ain't much different than they were in January for that AFC playoff game.......Denver was favored by 5 points then and covered very easily, so why the 12 point turnaround?........Sometimes we read a lot more into these games than we should, when I think common sense is the real deal......Heck, look at the Green Bay/Detroit game......Kitna vs. Farve and you're getting a touchdown with Farve?......Go figure......Too much information is usually just that......Stick to basics and gut instincts guys......In the long run, they're a lot more profitable than a pile of useless statistics.......All stats tell you is what has already happened, not what's gonna happen today.....Good Luck.

Well there are a few differences....for one Brady is missing his top 2 receivers from last year and the Broncos hadn't displayed any offensive effectiveness to date. Regardless, the bottom line here was that yeah, the Denver defense played well but also N.E. had numerous dropped passes on both offense and defense.... no big plays on defense....nothing spectacular from special teams...no help from the officials. There was a bullshit roughing the passer on N.E. , there were at least 2 interference calls that could have been called on Denver...there was the catch and fumble by Denver that was called an incompletion. Brady was not sharp in the beginning and then made some spectacular passes that were dropped. Two botched FG attempts by N.E.....some stupid play calling. In other words it was no one thing in particular...just a bunch of things when put together equals a suck ass effort on the part of N.E. considering the circumstances.

                        recap...

Pittsburgh -1.5 vs Cincinnati - LOST
                        NYJ/Buffalo OV 34.5 - WON
                        Washington -4 @ Houston - WON
Minnesota +3.5 vs Chicago - WON
                        Carolina -3 @ Tampa Bay - LOST
                        Green Bay +7 @ Detroit - WON
                        Philadelphia -6 @ San Francisco - WON
New England -6.5 vs Denver - LOST

                        Today 5-3

                        Overall
                        Sides 11-12
                        Totals 1-2

Pretty freakin average so far but not getting many breaks either I guess. Pittsburgh, ahead 17-14 with about 8 min. left and about to get the ball back and Ricardo Colclough decides to try and catch the punt with his face...and then instead of falling on the ball decides to kick it around until the kicking team shows up. I notice he didn't field the next punt...lol!
Carolina jumps out to a big lead and then gives up 17 pts on turnovers and misses the cover by 1.
Oh well...it all evens out I reckon. And there's always next week!

Yeah, there were some shitty calls that went against you in the game Dragon, but you did pretty well on the day (all things considered)......Keep your head up, you did alot better then some guys I know that not only had the Patriots, but dove in head-first on Baltimore, Detroit, Miami and the Giants, all of which had their hands handcuffed to their ankles and took it deep.
                          ;)
