No gloating, no pats-on-the-back, no dimes, no nickels, no poker money, yen, lira or pesos to spread around.....Just some observations on the game tonight.
1. The Falcons are the same team this year that they have been every year since Michael Vick entered the league.....A one-man-team that is good when HE is good, and bad when HE is bad.....that simple.....Which guy shows up each week is anybody's guess.....That's why I don't bet on Atlanta games.
2. Jeff, you hit the nail on the head about as flush as you can with your synopsis or analysis (whatever) of this game, pal.......The emotion and adrenaline on the part surrounding the Saints was obviously way too much for the Falcons to overcome.....Everything else you added in was just frosting on the cake........I just wish I was online to read your post before the game went off.....Trust me, I would have jumped on the "side".....great job.
3. I love watching Reggie Bush and all of the rejuvenated Saints team under their new coach, but I miss Al Michaels in the booth on Monday night's (with all due respect to Mike Tourico), because the other two clowns in the booth are, well, clowns!!
4. New Orleans might have been underwater a year ago, but they left the Falcons "high and dry" tonight.
O.K......I got a little corny at the end, but you gotta admit, I think it was a "feel good" game for all......See you later in the week.
