Cashed in on the Saints and under last night. Nice ending to the NFL but time to move on!

Lot's of good games this week!
Thursday
Auburn -13.5 at S. Carolina - South Carolina kinda banged up (including leading rusher Boyd) and dealing with suspensions (QB Mitchell) and giving up some yds on the ground. Auburn should be able to run and shouldn't give up many points. Carolina has only scored 15 vs Miss. St. and was shutout vs Georgia. Auburn handled them easily LY 48-7.
BYU +5 at TCU - BYU's only 2 losses by 3 at Arizona and in 2OT's at Boston College. TCU not setting the world on fire with 17-7 win over Baylor and 12-3 over Texas Tech (4 FG's, no TD's). BYU starting QB John Beck will hopefully be ready but if not backup Jason Beck looked great in 38-0 win over Utah St.
Saturday
Ohio State -7 at Iowa - Iowa 4-0 but hasn't really played anybody and barely squeaked by some marginal competition (Syracuse in 2OT's and at home vs Iowa St). Huge step up in competition this week against an Ohio State team ranked #1 with all wins so far by 17+ against much better competition. Ohio St. won LY's matchup 31-6. Just not sold on an Iowa team that only managed a 7-5 record LY. Maybe not a runaway but 7 pts should be no problem.
Northwestern +18 at Penn State - Man, do I dare take Northwestern yet again? They should have won at Nevada outright in my opinion. Too many turnovers (5). If they hold onto the ball this should be no problem. What on earth has Penn State done to warrant being an 18 pt favorite? They've got blown out by the only good teams they've faced so far. Northwestern beat Penn State in '03 and '04 and only lost by 5 LY.
Wisconsin -11 at Indiana - Indiana has virtually no running game and gets pounded on the ground themselves. They've been out-rushed 244 to 76 vs S. Illinois and 257 to 0 (as in zero!) vs UConn the last 2 games. Wisconsin should be good for 300. Wisconsin played Michigan pretty tough for awhile. Indiana ought to be a tad easier.
Houston +16 at Miami Fla. - This line is inflated by a few just because it's Miami. Houston has an awesome offense and has to be fired up at 4-0 on the year. Miami has to be hanging their heads a little and now have to regroup without leading receiver Jenkins who is out for a few weeks. I really think Houston can hang pretty good in this one.
Clemson -34.5 vs Louisiana Tech - Nebraska beat this team by 39 and racked up almost 600 yds total offense. Texas A&M just ripped them by 31 and racked up almost 500 yds. North Carolina is a lot better team than this one and Clemson just beat them by 45. This one should be similar.
Kansas St. +2.5 at Baylor - This is the kind of team Kansas St. beats up on with regularity. It looks like Baylor has a pretty good defense this year and Kansas St usually does too (held Louisville to only 24 pts) so this ought to be a pretty low scoring game. I'm surprised Baylor is favored.
USC -17 at Washington St. - It's hard to figure Washington St at this point. They got clobbered at Auburn by 26 and then beat 3 lousy teams, barely squeaking by Baylor (last second FG) at home. USC doesn't seem to be quite as prolific scoring wise so far but they have won every game by at least 17. USC has pounded Washington St the past 3 yrs by scores of 43-16, 42-12 and 55-13 so I'm going to give it a shot and hope for the status quo.
California -9.5 at Oregon St. - Cal has looked unstoppable since their opening game disaster at Tennessee winning by scores of 42-17 (Minnesota), 42-16 (Portland St) and 49-21 (Arizona St). All of those were home games though. Now they travel up the road a ways to chow down on some Beaver roadkill who have beat up on two nobodies and got shellacked by Boise St. Go Bears!
Alabama +13 at Florida - Alabama has a pretty good defense as usual. If Kentucky can stay within 19 and Tennessee within 1 of Florida you'd think Alabama could hang by 13. Florida's got a bit of revenge though as Alabama gave them an old fashioned butt-kicking LY by the score of 31-3! Ouch!
Georgia -17.5 at Mississippi - If Wake Forest can whoop Ole Miss in their own backyard by 24 then I can't believe Georgia (who should have had a wake up call last week) can't win by at least the same. This one ought to be about 34-6.
Virginia Tech -9 vs Georgia Tech - First road game for G.T. after 4 home games to start the season. The party's over as the Hokies have won all of their games so far by double digits. Virginia Tech has beaten up on Georgia Tech the past 2 years by scores of 34-20 in '04 and a 51-7 ass-whoopin' last year!
Wow, that's a lot of games!
