  • So-called Pro Handicappers keep calling me

Since the football season started , I have received several calls from so called Cappers, & it is starting to increase...in fact I received 1 today(Monday ) and saturday(2 days ago)

Saturday said take Iowa-LOST! this guy had the nerve to call me early sunday morning with another so called winner, but I hung up on him.

Tonight said Take Under in Chicago/Seattle game-Lost

Ive kept a running total and they are 2-5 and the guy who got 2 right was the Under and side for the Jaxsonville Monday night game against the steelers

I don't even know why I listen long enough to hear who they like.

They all want me to give them a deposit for there picks stating they have a special going on., But I NEVER do cause they have garbage for me.

I seriously believe the offshore sports books that I use are giving out my phone number to them to throw me off since I am doing well on my own.

Does anyone else have this problem?
    good luck

l did long ago when l signed up for a free pick on some cappers website. l got a winning pick (didn't play it). He called the next day and told me to wire him money, l told him to go fuck himself. Then kept calling back every five minutes and cussing me out and then trying to bully me into sending money. He finally stopped calling. Just ignore what they say. Every pick they have 50/50 to hook you. When they do, they try to drain you until your bankroll is gone (everyweek trying to get you to increase your bets thus increasing the percentage they recieve on a winner). Tell them not to call back and if they do, just cuss em out, they are just fast talking bullies. Think used car salesmen... most aren't even cappers, they are pitching for a capper.

I also had this problem a few times. Somehow these clowns got my number after I called a score phone. Anonymous is right, just cuss them out. They'll argue with you for a couple minutes and then your done with them. If that doesn't work, tell them you'll go your picks against his. If he loses he has to send you money. He won't call back.

My personal fave is simply to ask why he is cold-calling people if his picks are so good. If he were any good, he would play his own picks and not have to work :-)

I have had sportsbooks give out my number to touts in the past. I always make sure to give my cell number to sportsbooks so I don't get those calls on my home phone.

Isn't there a natonal no call list? Aren't these guys breaking that law? I put myself on the no call list a few years ago and never receive sales calls from telemarketers anymore.

I would think this would apply and that if enough people complained they could really screw these pay touts cold calling.

Been there and done that too. Especailly in college and actually shelled out some caah for some picks and got buried. Very stupid but my roomate and I thought it was they way to go. We had guys calling all the time mostly off the score phones and free picks phones. basically the 800 # records your number and they know you are possibly betting so it is a good lead for them. But with the DNC list, take there #, and they could be fined pretty heavily if you are on it. Don't think they are smart enough to diosclose that they may call you so if it gets too bad, report them.

And like someone said, challenge them one-on-one against your picks. Most of these guys do not even know the first thing about capping, but they do know how to sell. Just a sales pitch for a piece of shit boiler room operation.
Like the one asking why they have to waste their time selling picks when if they were so good the'd be playing these plays for real and living the good life in a vegas suite.

These guys are just one step under the dew on my dog's shit in the crisp Fall morning here in the Midwest.

Tell them they suck and so do their picks. Ask them details, weather injuries, why is option one way or another, pick their brain, they will stop calling because they are just salesmen. Don't know anything about the game.
