N.Y. Giants/Tampa Bay OV 38.5 - Even with the 19-3 win over the Redskins thrown in, the 6 Giants games this year are averaging 49 pts. The totals in those games have been 47, 54, 72, 22, 41 and 58. And even the last 4 T.B. games have averaged slightly over 40.
Green Bay/Arizona OV 44.5 - Green Bay is giving up an average of over 28 pts per game and Arizona is giving up over 23. Even the Chicago/Arizona eclipsed this line. Both teams can score against the respective defenses.
Kansas City -4 vs Seattle - Seattle has not been playing very good 'D' lately in giving up an average of 31 pts per game (and at least 28 pts) the last 4. QB Hasselbeck now joining RB Alexander on the sidelines for the Seahawks can't help. Kansas City has stepped it up lately with 3 wins in the last 4 including putting up 30 against a very good Charger 'D' last week. Not a good place for an inexperienced QB to debut. Huard questionable for K.C. but I bet he plays. If not just give it to Johnson!
St Louis Rams +9.5 @ San Diego - Man, that's a lot of points to be giving a pretty good 4-2 team that's 2 losses have only been by 7 and 2. San Diego's 'D' looked awful average last week against the Chiefs and their backup QB Huard. And the 'O' didn't help matters by turning the ball over 3 times. San Diego also missing a key player on each side in LT Oben and DE Olshansky. They'll need to play a hell of a lot better to beat this team by 10!
Pittsburgh -9 @ Oakland - Pittsburgh clicking on offense lately with 45 and 38 pts last 2 games. Oakland has scored a few pts against mediocre teams (Cleveland, S.F., Arizona) but have scored 6 or less in their 3 games against teams that play decent defense (Philly, San Diego, Denver) and you can bet Cowher had his 'D's' attention this week in practice after that showing last week at Atlanta! I bet they bounce back with a huge effort this week.
Indianapolis +3 @ Denver - OK...I'm a Charger fan and we need Denver to lose! Seriously though, are we to believe that a team averaging 13 pts per game is going to cover against Peyton Manning and the Colts! Jacksonville has a pretty good 'D' themselves and the Colts were able to hang 21 on them. Yeah, I've heard that Shanahan put this team together to beat Indianapolis, blah, blah, blah. I guess he screwed up though because if my memory serves me right it wasn't the Colts who knocked Denver out of the playoffs last year was it. Let me see.....hmmm.....who was that anyway ..........oh yeah, it was Pittsburgh! And what a coincidence...guess who Denver plays next week? They wouldn't dare look ahead with the Colts coming to town though would they?
Dallas +5 @ Carolina - Romo's supposed to be a lot better than Bledsoe right
He looked a little wild last week but maybe a week's worth of reps shook off the rust? I don't know, but I do know that Carolina is only averaging about 17 pts per game...actually if you just count the Smith games it's almost 21. But their 4 wins have been pretty darn close games by 2, 3, 8 and 2. And Dallas has been racking up the points...like around 28 per game!
