Springs returned Oct. 15 against Tennessee from abdominal and groin injuries, but Rogers broke his thumb in the game and missed the following contest.

Denver RB Tatum Bell may miss Sunday's game in Pittsburgh due to recurring problems with his toes. He injured the big toe on one foot Sept. 24, then had a similar injury to the other foot two weeks later.

Miami QB Daunte Culpepper could be close to a move to the injured reserve list, which would officially end his season. Continued soreness in his patellar tendon is the cause. Culpepper's status apparently has regressed from the time he began a rehab program for his surgically repaired right knee in early October.

The Jaguars will be starting David Garrard at quarterback for a second week according to HC Jack Del Rio. "I went out there and moved around pretty good," said Leftwich, who was downgraded to questionable. "It didn't feel 100 percent, but believe me, it's ready to roll. It's a little sore. I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. Right now, it's just frustrating because I'm missing an opportunity to play when I feel as if I can play."
