Some games to ponder for this weekend.....I'm playing them.......If you do, pay the rent first.....Lines from Bodog on Tuesday 11/14/06:
FALCONS +4 VS. RAVENS.........I just like this matchup for some reason.......Ray Lewis is still out for the Ravens and that gives the topsy-turvy Michael Vick a lot of room to exploit in the middle........The Falcons seem to play better on the road lately, and I'm getting a four-point cushion......Ravens are much improved of late, but they've beaten the spread too much already.....Falcons could actually win this thing straight-up.
SAINTS -3 1/2 VS. BENGALS.........Saints a much better team at home this year, and I get the feeling that Cincy's latest humiliating loss (blowing a 28-7 halftime lead) will be tough to get past.........The Bengals probably are the better team, but they might be lacking from a morale standpoint.....Emotion figures to play the biggest role in this one, and whoever has the ball last will most likely win this one........Will probably buy the 1/2 point and take it down to 3........Look for Reggie Bush to have his best game of the year here.......The Cincy defensive front line is like butter........melted butter.
COWBOYS +1 1/2 VS. COLTS........This is the one everyone's talking about, and by all means........Granted, Peyton Manning is this and he's that and his record over the last couple of years is phoenomenal and anything else I could say about him would probably be understated, but I just know that the Colts will trip up along the way somewhere ........so why not here?.......The Cowboys have new life with this kid Romo at QB, and Parcells will no doubt figure out some kind of game plan that will diminish the time Manning has his hands on the ball.......Dungy has done an excellent job going into both Denver and Boston to keep his unbeaten record intact, but he's always owned those two teams, and has had his problems facing Cowher and Parcells over the years.......Plus we're getting a point-and-a-half here........Hope this game lives up to the hype, win or lose.
JAGUARS -3 VS. GIANTS.........This is my iffy game of the week cause it looks too easy......The Giants are practically playing with their second string since everyone else is hurt, and Jacksonville has a notorious home-field advantage......the only concern here is that the line seems too short......Hope this isn't a trap......Enough said.
OVER 38 BEARS VS. JETS.........Bears aren't as good as they've looked and the Jets aren't as bad as they've looked.......Pennington can put 'em up when he gets his line in the mood, and Grossman can not only score points with his offense........but he can also score points with the opponents defense.......He's kind of a double-edged sword here.....Can see this game going into overtime tied up 20-20..........Let's just hope it doesn't rain on us.
UNDER 42 CHARGERS VS. BRONCOS.........Night game in frigid Denver in November tells half the story here......Get the feeling this will be a grind-it-out, ground game and field position affair that will feature each team's high-profile runners...Denver secondary will give Rivers fits and force him to stay on the ground......Chargers will discover that the Denver "D" is a little tougher to cut through than Cincinnati's.......Maybe we'll get lucky and it will snow.
Good Luck to all this weekend and please respond with the pros or cons.........Let's break the bank!!!
