Tony Romo - QB, Dallas Cowboys 11/25/2006

The Dallas Cowboys have found their quarterback of the future with Tony Romo. After Romo's turkey day carving of the Buccaneers secondary in which he completed 22 of 29 passes for 306 yards and 5 touchdowns he has all but closed the book on veteran QB Drew Bledsoe. "He's a little fireplug. When he gets a chance to get out there and do something, you can see the energy in him," veteran cornerback Aaron Glenn said. "He just loves to play. When you have that type of energy, it trickles down to everybody."

"I've seen that guy with a torn knee and all that and still make the plays. I never doubt he'll be there."

Fred Smoot - CB, Minnesota Vikings 11/25/2006

The Minnesota Vikings have benched six-year veteran cornerback Fred Smoot in favor of starting rookie Cedric Griffin. "I think the best thing is that the guys that give us the best chance to win are on the field," Childress said. "It's on merit, and Cedric has played well and therefore he goes to the front of the line." Griffin, the Vikings second round pick from the University of Texas, sustained a neck injury against the Miami Dolphins that has him listed as questionable for this weeks game against Arizona.
