not too bad...but I gotta disagree on a few points:

      AFC EAST
      1.NE
      2.MIA
      3.NYJ
      4.BUFF
Miami will pick it up this year, but New England will squeak it out with a 11-5 record.

      AFC NORTH
      1.Cincy
      2.Balt
      3.Pitt
      4.Cleve
Cincy want respect, Carson Palmer shines, cincy 12-4. Baltimore does well at 11-5.

      AFC SOUTH
      1.Ind
      2.Jax
      3.Ten
      4.Hou
If you don`t have Indy, your a DEE DEE DEE, Jax will be good and Ten improves.

      AFC WEST
      1.SD
      2.Den
      3.KC
      4.Oak
San Diego should prevail, but Denver and KC will be strong in this division.

AFC Championship - San Diego over Cincinatti.

      NFC EAST
      1.Phil
      2.Dal
      3.NYG
      4.Wash
Big fight for the top spot, wash will stink once again.

      NFC NORTH
      1.Chi
      2.Min
      3.GB
      4.Det
another season being one of the worst divisions.

      NFC SOUTH
      1.Car
      2.NO
      3.TB
      4.Atl
Will join the NFC North in the junk pile of divisions. Carolina and NO challenge each other for top spot.

      NFC WEST
      1.SEA
      2.AZ
      3.StL
      4.SF
Seattle overcomes challenges from AZ and StL to take the top spot, SF will quietly improve this year, watch out next year.

        AFC East
        1. Buf
        2. NE
        3. NYJ
        4. Mia
PATS miss the playoffs, Even with all the offseason moves they have the most brutal schedule that I have ever seen in my 15 years of handicapping.

        AFC North
        1. Cincy
        2. Pit
        3. Cle
        4. Balt
Cincy will win this division by a mile, Pit may make the wild card but most likely not

        AFC South
        1. Ind
        2. Jak
        3. Hou
        4. Ten
I see 3 playoff teams in this divison

        AFC West
        1. Den
        2. SD
        3. Oak
        4. KC
SD will be lucky to make the playoffs with Norv at the coaching helm add the fact that they have no proven recievers that can catch. Teams will be keying in on LT,Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates, This team struggles to win 8 games maybe 9 if they are lucky, Very lucky with there brutal schedule.
KC is going down the toilet, lucky to win 3 games this season
Denver is scary loaded this season

        AFC Championship: Cincy over Denver

        NFC East
        1. NYG
        2. Dallas
        3. Was
        4. Philly
with everything that went wrong for the Giants last season injury wise and still able to make a playoff run, this team can only improve, Dallas will be around but Im not sold on Romo at QB.

        NFC North
        1. Chi
        2. Det
        3. Min
        4. GB
If the lions only had a QB, Oh they do, His name is JT O Sullivan but looks like they are stuck with that stiff John Kitna.

        NFC South
        1. Car
        2. Atl
        3. NO
        4. TB
ATL will be better off with a real coach and I beleive Joey Harrington revives his carreer.

        NFC West
        1. AZ
        2. SF
        3. Sea
        4. STL
SF Defense will be Stellar this season there offense wont be too shabby but with departure of Norv Turner the offense will struggle a bit, Hey Norvs a good Offensive coach just terrible as a Head Coach.

        NFC Championship
        Carolina over NY Giants

        Superbowl
        Cincy over Carolina
        Carson Palmer Superbowl MVP

Happy I could amuse you friend, but the facts are that a team like the saints came out of nowhere last season and went from 4-12 to winning a division titlle and coming up short in the NFC Championship game.

Facts are that Cincy and Pitts missed the playoffs last season
Pitts after winning a superbowl and cincy who should have made it to the superbowl that year if not for that cheap hit on Carson Palmer in there wildcard game with Pitts.

Facts are Carolina who was every experts pick to not only make the superbowl but probably win it didnt even make the post season last year.

KC snuck into the playoffs last year for God Sakes.

Did I make some bold predictions above?
            Absolutley
Are my predictions dead in the water?
Hell no, this is the NFL
Where anything can and does happen.

If you are surprised by things of that nature then it is my understanding that

            A) you are not a very astute viewer of the NFL

            B) You are Joe public in nature and make the fatal mistake of believing in what happened last season should happen this season.

            C) you havent handicapped the teams, there improvemnets, there schedule or there lack of improvements this season.

            These are all predictions
            Are we wagering on these?
            No
we are trying to gage who the surprise teams will be that will offer us handicappers line value.
If we are right, We make money right off the bat before linemakers adjust.
If we are wrong so we lose a few units here or there, not the end of the world.
            Nothing but upside involved.
To call it laughable is an insult to people who actually do there homework.

We will bump this thread at the end of the season and we will see who was more dead on or dead in the water.

              or.....

              D) I realize that Buffalo has a murderous schedule and has NO shot of winning that division or even being .500

              E) I realize the Giants will be awful and have NO shot of winning their division either.

I am wagering on a handful of futures, so to me, this is indeed betable material.

I'll bump this thread up during the season as I will be around like I have for the last 9 years.

If you are putting your money to sleep by betting futures, All I can say is good luck to you.

PS, not a knock on you but Iv known guys wagering for 12 years or more and they still dont know what they are doing.

Being around 9 years having 1500 + posts doesnt mean anyone is a great capper (They could be) it means that you found the forums before many others did.
No disrespect intended with the above statement.

                Good luck to you

                  picks

                  NE
                  NY
                  Mi
                  Bu
New England will survive a tough schedule because they are among the most talented teams in the league and have great experience. Mangini will be able to get NY to overachieve again this season.
                  Pit
                  Balt
                  Cin
                  Clev
Pittsburgh finished strong last year and nearly made the playoffs despite a horrible start. They have no glaring needs and should continue where they left off. Baltimore is ageing and will have a new coach, but should manage to hold off cincinnati in a tough wild card race. Cin's offield problems and lack of playoff experience will hold them back even though they are extermely talented.
                  Ind
                  Jack
                  Ten
                  Hou
I consider this one obvious. Jacksonville may surprise.
                  SD
                  Den
                  KC
                  Oak
San Diego has the best chance of anybody in the league, of beating New England. Rivers needs to mature.
                  Dal
                  Phi
                  NY
                  Wash
These team s all have a shot, the top three have all slipped in the offseason, I pick Dallas because they have slipped the least. 8-8 may win this division.
                  Chi
                  GB
                  Min
                  Det
Chicago is a shoe in. GB should place second because Favre doesn't need alot of help to win against Det and Min. The battle for worst in the division should be competitive with Det looking like they are finally improving.
                  NO
                  Car
                  TB
                  Atl
Atlanta and Tampa are awful. Carolina is overated. Drew Breeze and the weapons he has available should be enough to win. None of the other teams in this division are good enough offensively to exploit NO's porous defense.
                  Sea
                  SF
                  SL
                  Az
should be a competitve three-way race for the division title, and Arizona may even have a shot. This should be the strongest div in the NFC.

Of course in these days of parity in the NFL, it's possible to go from worst to first.......but I'll don't see many suprises out there this year. Maybe San Fran.

Look for the Chargers to start fast. I think they'll beat the Bears to open the year setting up the biggest game of the early season against the Pats in that huge Sunday Night game week 2.

Remember the bad blood last season after that loss?

Ah, but isn't this what it's all about? Getting up on the podium and making bold predictions?

Can't wait to bump this thread up as the season progresses to see how smart we all are

                    AFC East
                    1. NE
                    2. MIA
                    3. NYJ
                    4. BUF

far as I'm concerened, flip a coin for 2nd thru 4th.

                    AFC North
                    1. Cincy
                    2. Balt
                    3 Pitt
                    4. Clev

Cinci needs a defense. But I'd expect a return to 2005 form here.

                    AFC South
                    1. Ind
                    2. Jak
                    3. Ten
                    4. Hou

                    AFC West
                    1. SD
                    2. DEN
                    3. KC
                    4. OAK

I agree that Denver is loaded this year. Could be a battle between Den/SD for the top spot with both making the playoffs. I just feel the Chargers have some unfinished business.

                    AFC Championship: SD over NE

                    NFC East
                    1. Dallas

                    3. Phil
                    4. Wash

I think the entire division is close.

                    NFC North
                    1. Chi
                    2. Det
                    3. Min
                    4. GB

                    2. SEA
                    3. ARZ
                    4. STL

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP - Saints over Bears

                      afc east...
New.Eng.pats.IF 'they' don't stop RUNNING...lol...or FUMBLE away a game or two
n.y.jets....rebuilding..and the LONG BALL should beat the fav.s
                      mia. dol...same old, same old....
buf.....even though 'thier' offence should improve....lots of low scoring games.

                      afc north...
CIN. bengals...'they' lost a few by sleeping on the job last year. should get lucky this year...
balti...same as above only the defense must sack for...loltop two will battle for first...
Pitt...can win but 'i' see another year of the WRONG play AT the RIGHT time again...so 'they' lose out....
clev. browns...how many games will 'they' give away to 'thier' div. or will 'they' beat the spread in most games..??>

                      afc south...

HOUSTON....this team will surprise all year long...so 'they' will be a team to beat the point spreads and win a few closem ones...maybe as many as 11 wins this year IF 'they'' can beat tenn & jac....
                      afc west...
san d. chargers..probably the second best team BUT will need to improve on the lapses during the games...WILD CARD....
kan. city...IMPROVING CLUB...BUT will probably have a chance to end up SECOND here as 'i' think 'they' are at least equall to den. & oak.
DENCER BRO....should fight 'it' out with san d. BUT 'i' see 'them collapsing towards the end...and lose athe close games by 2-3 points...
OAK. RAID.....long ball is the ONLY way 'they' will win....so the teams meeting with 'them' MUST play DEFENSIVELY ...OR ELSE..LOL..

                        4. Clev

Cinci needs a defense. But I'd expect a return to 2005 form here.

I agree that Denver is loaded this year. Could be a battle between Den/SD for the top spot with both making the playoffs. I just feel the Chargers have some unfinished business.

I hope your right about the Bucs Jeff. Im a handicapper myself but I was just wondering your analysis of their season if you have them coming in second.
