Florida St -3.5 @ Clemson - Revenge is sweet. I had 3 winners on Saturday who were playing with revenge (BYU, B.C. and Cal) and one of my losers...N.D.... got beat in a big revenge game also by G.T. Overall there were a nice number of wins this week with revenge involved as Colorado, UTEP and Wyoming also got even for losses last year. Of course, not all teams are capable of exacting revenge but Florida St. is certainly one that is so I'm going with them tonite as I will look for them to get even for last years home loss to the Tigers. In fact, Clemson has won 3 of the last 4 so you can bet the Seminoles would love to turn the tables here. Clemson will be going with an inexperienced QB and offensive line and you know the Seminoles will be trying to take advantage of that. And if Florida St can contain the running game, which they very well could, it's going to make it very hard for Clemson as I doubt if they will be able to do much damage through the air.
Texas Tech -9 @ SMU - Speaking of revenge...if anyone's got it on their minds it's SMU. Texas Tech has owned them winning the last 10 games between these teams by margins of 32, 14, 48, 10, 31, 28, 17, 14, 24 and 55. You may have noticed that all of those margins of victory are more than the -9 line on this game. Based on history I can really see no reason why SMU should have a chance here either as defending the pass is probably not their strong suit, and, considering that T.T. QB Graham Harrell threw for 4,555 yards and 38 TD's last year.
