  • Why Does KC Suck in 2007?

They have the same half-decent QB, same superb RB, same coach (although not my favorite). Ignoring the Houston loss, what kind of offseason attrition did they have where it seems everyone on the planet KNOWS they are going to suck donkeys this season?

Herm is further along in his desire to change(destroy) their offense.

So its largely a group think consensus that Herm just sucks as a coach? I can't say I disagree with that. The roster changes seem largely anonymous to me.

I was a little surprised also by the Houston outcome and the negative feelings towards the Chiefs even before that game. I know they sucked in pre-season but that is never really an accurate barometer anyway. They did make the playoffs last year and you're right...not that much has changed. Since I'm a Charger fan I guess I should be happy.

Actually, I think two vets on the o-line retired and they lost a couple defensive tackles, one of which sounded familiar.

Given the size of that line, I think the bookies are on to your plan. The line does not rate well valuewise, although I certainly can understand why you would play it. I hate rookie running backs, as was well demonstrated last week. They fumble and get QBs killed. But I love laying 12 points on a team that only scored 3 last week, takes some balls.

I'm curious to see if that line moves over the next couple of days.

                    1. 40% of their offensive line (which was one of the best in the NFL) is gone.

                    2. QB situation is hideous

                    3. Receivers are below average

                    4. Every opposing defense is geared to slowing up #27.

                    5. Defense has been horrible for years

and there are more ......they suck

Well im thinking much like last year that rexs alter personality with creep out. I see the same thing as last year happening, where he took advantage of crappy teams and looked clueless for the better teams... Any thoughts...

I think Rex has a deep arm but is incompetant at short passes and finding the 2nd receiver. Thomas Jones is a huge blow to that offense. The defense still looks pretty damn good though and should overwhelm most lesser teams.

These clowns haven't been the same team since Trent Green's concussion in 2005.............Just like the Raiders ain't been the same team since Jon Gruden packed up his playbook and took it to Tampa.............The NFL has come to this.............Teams good for a couple of years, fall into mediocrity the next, and then spend the next few years rebuilding and climbing back to the top..............The Packers, 49er's, Steelers, Titans, Rams and Raiders are all great examples...........The only ones that stay at the top at all times are the cheaters (Patriots come to mind)...........It's a vicious cycle (smile).
