    (College 4-3-2...Best Bets 1-1)
    (NFL 3-1-1 ....Best Bets 1-0)

    Louisville –5.5 over Kentucky
Although Louisville really haven’t seen any quality competition yet this season…the Louisville offense has been absolutely ridiculous. Led by Heisman trophy candidate and anticipated #1 draft pick QB Brian Brohm, the Cardinals have racked up 771 yards of offense and have scored 65 points average per game in their first two games. I don’t care who your playing, unless it is a high school team, those are some startling figures. Brohm has already thrown for “nine” yep 9 touchdowns in those games completing 68% of his passes and the offensive line has not given up one sack…In addition to the unbelievable passing game, RB Anthony Allen is coming off a school record of 275 yards rushing against Middle Tennesee. They have shown some weaknesses on defense giving up 42 points and 555 yards last week but a lot of that was due to some unusually poor tackling and some breakdown in coverage which has been aggressively addressed this week in practice. If Kentucky has any chance at all in this game they will have to put the pressure on Brohm and they do not have the up front personnel to accomplish that so you can look for a 400 yard passing day. The Wildcats may be able to put up some points, but if this game goes to a shootout, Kentucky will never withstand the pressure….You might see 100 points in this game with most of it going to Louisville.
Kentucky hasn’t beaten a ranked team since 2002 and they haven’t beaten a top 10 team since 1977 (Louisville currently ranked 9th by USA). Their 50-10 win over E. Kentucky in week one followed by their 56-20 win last week over Kent St was the first time since 1998 that they scored 50 points in consecutive games. Kentucky might have racked up 272 rushing yards in the first two games and 116 points, but going against a top 10 ranked team is a huge step up over the likes of EK and Kent St. Very difficult for me to see anything less than a 2 TD win by the Cardinals. This line opened at -8.5 hovered around -7.0 for a few days and has now dropped to -5.5. I don't understand it....but got to love it...
    Diamond Line: Louisville –14.53

Actually this isn’t my “best bet” of the week, it is actually my second best bet as this is the week I will release my College 10 Diamond play of which I have only had 20 since 1991. The record on these plays is 15-3-2

When will this awesome triple, quadruple, rock solid, shiney, gold, silver, 100000*, Double-dog dare, best bet play be posted. I am running to my bank right now.

Good analysis on the louisville pick but I don't need that garbage on a top tier, once in every 17 year GOY, and I don;t think anyone else here does either. Good luck on Louisville but spare us the hype.

Well, I lost my porch on your "2nd Best Bet"............Should I just go ahead and risk the house on your "Super Duper once-in-a-decade, never losing, best bet special" ?...........Or were you talking about the Louisville vs. Kentucky basketball matchup coming this fall?

      We can hardly wait.
