The Illini basketball team plays Miami Ohio

This Illini basketball team is still in a state of
finding itself, and Miami of Ohio will be no help.
A Look at the RedHawks
Won vs Xavier
Lost vs USC by 3 points
Won vs Miss St
Lost vs Dayton by 1 point
Lost vs Louisville by 3 points
Won vs Indiana State by 16
Lost vs Wright State by one point
This Red Hawk team has a RPI of 49
and a number 4 ranking of Strength of
Schedule.
The RedHawks 4 losses this year have come by
a combined 9 points (2 of those by one point)
This team will come to play featuring three of
the MAC conference top players.
They will play a very physical Half Court
game.....
A Look at Illinois
A team that has no offense and Defense
is Suspect.....
This Illini squad seems to play as if they are
waiting for some one else to make a play....
Very very out of sync.
No guard play to speak of , Free throw shooting
is a joke and the only bright spot is defense.
Last night vs WCU Illinois shot 17% from three
point land that is 3 for 17 vs nothing more than a
scrappy team. That sucks. (Illini did not cover 23.5)

When the schedule came out one game I circled
on the Calender was Miami Ohio Red Hawks as a
possible Look ahead game for Illinois.
Next up for Illinois DEC 22 is Missouri
The Battle for the Gateway Huge game .
This scrappy team from Ohio called the
RedHawks will come to play.
Carpet sees a very Physical Half Court
type game as both teams play a grinding Defense.
My early numbers show Illinois by 4
