  • To Middle or not to Middle?

I caught wind of the FSU suspensions early and Played Kentucky at a pk (-120) early.

Now the line is up to UK -9.5 at most places.

Whats your take on middling this and what the chance that FSU can keep it within 10?

    Thanks for your input.

Woodee, it depends on the size of your bet and what you would be happy with winning. If you got a substantial amount down on Kentucky, you could come back with a portion of that the other way. Otherwise, I would be happy with Kentucky. A lot of times when a team loses a main player or two, you usually see the rest of the team step up and play harder. This is definitely a new precedence. I really don't know what to expect from Fla St.

Buy dog up to 10 depending on how much of pk you want to keep.

The answer to this questions always depends on the original intent.

If you set out to bet the game, and did so at your normal wager size, you should keep the wager.

If you caught wind of the suspensions, and just bought up a bunch of Kentucky at pick to be determined later what to do with it, then it depends on how strongly you feel about Kentucky in the game.

Both positions, a 10 point middle at those numbers, or sitting on a wager with 10 points the best of the number, are GUARANTEED long term winners.

Whether or not the middle pops, or Kentucky wins, in this isolated game, remains to be seen.

For the record, I'm in the exact same scenario. I liked Kentucky before the suspension, caught wind of it, and bought up much more than a normal sized wager on Kentucky......haven't made a decision yet myself, although my intentions all along were to middle some of it, as I do that regularly.

By the way, it wouldn't suprise me to find myself asking Tuesday Morning, how in the world Florida State win that game with half a team.......crazier things have happened.......and it's not as if the guys replacing them were picked off the street......they are all, all star high school athletes plenty capable of playing on many other teams inthe country.

IMO, this exact scenario is worth repeating to yourself at least a few more times between now & kick-off.

Stick with your original call ... and just let things play out on their own.

This way, in the long run - regardless of what happens - you'll feel much better about the quality of your own decisions.

No Middle--Played it safe and took what I had.

Did not want to get greedy and needed to make sure I had the best chance to make some cash.

If I didn't have such a bad run about a week ago, I would have thought about it, but now I am back on track.
